Such a coincidence! I found your channel last week and started watching a lot of videos. Fast forward to today, I started listening to the episode and I was like “wait, isn’t “mom fasting” the lady that does those ADF videos I watched?!” Timing couldn’t have been better. Thanks for starting your channel and sharing your knowledge. It’s helped me a lot as I’ve begun ADF.

Just listening to yours and Gin’s podcast…how exciting for you … and very informative …thank you so much …Im halfway through Fast Feast Repeat and actually have gone back and re-read chapters… I have been drinking a protein shake for years now and am wondering if it’s ok to drink in my open window… it’s pb with 1 small banana and water with ice and a scoop of chocolate whey powder…I use it as a meal replacement… Thankyou again! Hi Debi! Fast Feast Repeat is such a fantastic book and well worth re-reading! I say if opening with a protein shake makes you feel great then go for it! Fast breakers are so individual. I will say for me it sounds like it would be a little too sweet. Really just pay attention to how what you break your fast with affects your cravings for the rest of the day. Generally something with fat and protein will keep your blood sugar levels stable throughout the day and keep cravings low. You are an experiment of 1!

I’ll quit taking the shake as I want to do this correctly…I thought breaking a fast was eating during your closed window? Oh yep Debi for sure anything with sugar would break the fast, and you will need to break your fast of course, but when you do it’s best to avoid sugary things at first because you’ll start off your day with a big glucose/insulin spike. Another book I highly recommend is Glucose Revolution by Jesse Inchauspe. It is so helpful in visually telling you how the order you eat things matter. I hope that helps!

One fast day down and aiming for second on Friday, schedule is a bit off this week but with 5:2 it’s easier to move things around without needing to fast on a weekend.

Hey Patricia! Yep, the day came haha! It took a long time but I’m glad I finally did it. 😃 Yes, 5:2 is much more flexible for sure!! I am back to 4:3 this week and even though it’s been a bit mentally challenging, I’m glad to be back to it! I’m just trying to stay motivated till the end of the school year, it’s that time when things seem to drag forever 🤪 But it IS getting warmer and I can’t wait to start walking regularly! @@MomFasting it does take mental focus & strength to fast overnight when u’ve been off it for a little while. I’m sure you’ll push through with ur strong (3yrs worth) ADF muscles 😬😁 we had a bit of a warm spell for a little while and back to cold & rain this week 😓 but I think it’s still nothing like what u guys have been having in the States. I didn’t know I’m ur longest KZbin commenter, I feel v honoured 🥳😂

@@MomFasting you did a Great job 👏 Have you talked about your results of the fasting glucose test? Wasn’t sure if I had missed it - if so can you link the video below- that’s what I’m most interested in- I want to stay in normal glucose levels and the by product of that will be weight loss- for me I can’t focus on the weight although I do weigh every day. I have 30 lbs more to lose to not be in the overweight range. I have maintained a 30 lb loss for a couple of years.
