Loved this. I still can’t believe people would say that Tasha is a boring contestant she has had one of the most interesting and impactful journeys in love island history (in my opinion). I think she is a wonderful person.

I always wonder when watching the bake off, Tasha is also deaf and has the implant, but she also has a sign language interpreter? And she seems to not be able to hear when people speak to her? How does her implant work then? Xx

Implants don't work for everyone and some people don't get much hearing from them that's probably why

Not an expert at all but I think people with implants/limited hearing can struggle to 'tune into' certain sounds (I.e one person talking to them) when there is a lot of background noise, as there would be in the bake off tent.

Not all deaf people are the same. A cochlear implant allows for some access to sound but the person is still a deaf person and it doesn’t restore their hearing completely. Using sign will allow for getting all the information especially in an environment with background noise. It also allows people to connect with deaf culture. There are lots of reasons as to why deaf people use a multitude of ways of communicating.
