That 125 flat DEF on the emblem circlet is both troll and legendary. I don't think I've ever had anything that bad, but I also don't upgrade further if I get two bad stat rolls in a row.

My motto for artifacts: Keep farming till you get all the mainstats for the character > pick the mainstats with the best value (substats) for the character > level em up > equip > forget. I don't particularly care about the substats as long as the set bonus and mainstats are right. Most of the time that is all it takes to do big damage. If enemies die they die 👌.

i wish i seen this earlier, im ar 47 now but like last week i reached ar45, i had i think 70ish fragile resin and ive already burnt most of it, i have like 5 left. i hyperfocused ok getting the best artifacts i could for my 2 main dps' and as a result it takes so long to get artifacts for new characters, specifically yelan, which i got yesterday and still yet to get an emblem artifact for her

I wish artifacts from the strongbox just picked substate and mainstats randomly and also always had four substats. That one change alone would make it significantly less painful! The fact that they intentionally make the good stats less likely than the bad ones is only pain.

With emblem drop rates rigged and initial substats and rolls rigged in favor of flat stats (suggested by datamining), the grind will never end. They added emblem to the strongbox to make it seem like they care about lessening the grind, but underneath the hood they made adjustments so nothing really changed. They know artifact grinding for min/maxing for the abyss or flexing in coop is the only endgame content the game has and they're not about to make that easier to keep you hooked.

@@renectonr.6723 25% means 0.25 and it is 0.25^5 that the calculator gave you, percent (per cent!) its simple. the calculator doesnt know what percent is. "%" is a macro for "divide by (/)100" in calculator. The result is always a fraction(per 1) and you have to multiply it by 100 at the end.

Strongbox always worth it if you're at endgame. You don't want to keep shitty artifact and your inventory has its limit. The mechanic of strongbox though has to improve for more quality of life.

AR 58, I have NEVER got good artifacts from a strongbox. After I put there 150 artifacts and got nothing, but trash, even worse than those artifacts, that I put there, I decided to forget about the strongbox. And you know what? Now I have food for rare good artifacts. Less pain, more profit^^

I don’t get how you evaluate artifacts. You won’t roll a good three liner to see if it rolls second crit but will roll a double crit 3 stat start. Those are identical in crit rolls.

Exactly. I find that the majority of players have poor artifact decision skills. Like this dude sacrifices multiple leveled artifacts to instantly get +20 and it turnsnout to be a waste when he gets the 2x exp. The amount of wasted resources in these videos is astounding and those same people always complain saying they never get good artifacts

The strongbox kinda works for me. Like I would farm for domains that my DPS needs then strongbox the sets my supports need. I've never farmed for VV but my Kazuha and sucrose got their own EM sets, Bennett also got noblesse from strongbox.

i feel like artifact farming needs a rework for genshin. i understand they want us to play every day because big numbers for them, but being able to do like 8 runs, while still needing a ton of resin for ley lines and weekly bosses (for the battle pass) is kinda stupid. it used to be 120... when we had like 5 weekly bosses less, and like 10 artifact sets less. i can bet my left nut playtime in genshin would DOUBLE globaly if they let us farm artifacts without resin. or increase the cap for resin, or make it recharge faster so i can do 8 runs twice a day, or make artifact runs cost less

I keep maxing out artifact limit because that is all I do these days when I am not leveling characters. The strong box allows me to save my resin for newer artifact sets, talent mats or boss mats. The limit is raised but I feel like I will have it maxed out in no time. It is not ideal, but I don't need all those artifacts just for leveling up new ones, I just keep some for fodder.

since emblem is one strongbox most promising substats are from feathers but theres still some copium moment where it rolled in the awful def stat so 10 days into fontaine i got 3 great feathers and 1 great flower what i need is a crit rate circlet for my xingqiu then possibly a 30 crit dmg+ sub stat so i can have a cracked Yelan and Raiden then through their old artifact to the likes of Xiangling, Beidou and Mona

Yes, it always ends like this. It's a waste of time . I would only grind for maybe 4 or 5 days of resin max and settle with something decent. Artifact grind in Genshin is terrible and nothing is done to improve it. I believe making it so you don't have to pick them from the ground was the only qol for all this years (apart from condensed resin which in general is a big thing). Star Rail has the same problem but somehow it's easier + you can target craft pieces (and still have shit substats). Guess for me personally i don't keep purple pieces in Genshin, while in Star Rail i keep and use them, so it's easier to gear up without weeks of grinding.
