This "ah snag...oh.. OH it's a fish!" Happened to me a couple weeks ago. Was reeling in to pack up and I had snagged up several times in this lake already. Felt like a snag, I went tugging on it to try and pop it and then it started to fight me. Ended up being a 19in rainbow trout.

This is an artificial bait I tried most recently and had good luck with it. I caught my biggest bluegill and large mouth bass with this bait using the chartreuse/florescent orange color.

I ordered these lures and tried them out at Lake Lowell in Caldwell, Idaho this past weekend. Caught a decent 2lb largie on the black one! Love your videos, Nick. I have a newfound serious love for fishing that used to be a casual, 2-3 times a year thing. There are some monsters in the ponds around my neighborhood and I find myself going out every day now! It has done wonders for my mental health, too. Thank you for just loving fishing and celebrating all of your catches regardless of size. Also, I’m really sorry to hear about Bella. Take care!

Nick WONDERFUL video! Sweet location, and like you mentioned those Squid bait's aren't in that area. Though when you used that Flounder lure I said to myself "he'll never catch anything on it". Sorry to hear about Bella. I know it's difficult when we lose a good friend. I've got both dogs and cats - all rescue animals. Lost one of my cats 6 months ago - she was the most loving thing and gosh was she beautiful. I still think about her. I've got a little min pin - have had her for for 16 years. She used to go fishing and hiking and camping with me, but not anymore. When she goes it will be tough.
