Peglin Part 3 - being the best kind of wrong. If I underestimate everything, I can only be pleasantly surprised. But for this relic, I really missed the mark. I expected it to be too slow to make a difference, and now must eat my words.

Just as an FYI, the Red Bomb event doesn't convert bombs you add to the board to red bombs- only the bombs that come with the board are red. Found this out myself in one of my winning runs.

Because well the fact that he had recombobulator (thrown bombs refresh) didn't matter due to the fact that the red bombs killed him turn 1, as there were so many of them.

The adding bombs relics only ever add black bombs, unless you have the replace bombs with red bombs relic! so you dont have to worry about them! Also in the latest patch they added four red bombs to the final boss, in the middle of each block, but only 16 damage isnt that bad thankfully

Either way the 10% damage buff is probably worse because if you hit a refresh you'll get a 30% damage increase assuming you already hit a crit, and if you wouldn't have hit a crit it's way better.

31:13 The Nosforbatu did heal and damage, however it could only heal 15 health, since that was all that was missing and so it also only dealt 30 damage. If the damage was not connected to the healing it could have done 150 AoE damage there. Really highlights a weakness of that orb.

@@John-od8zv In my experience the damage is just a bonus, you take Nosforbatu for the same reason you'd take a Doctorb, to heal. It heals with a bit of risk and does decent damage early game, it's a near-guaranteed full heal and does negligible damage late game.

I think the number of red bombs from the 3rd world event are set so taking bomb synergies isn't always a bad thing and they refresh if you hit a refresh peg so it mainly just comes down to luck and how healthy you are coming into it.

You can’t refresh red bombs as they act like non refreshable pegs. The only way to refresh red bombs is with that one relic that allows the refreshing of red bombs. In levels with red bombs preferably you want alchemist cook book and other bomb synergy relics

Critsomalos fleece basically wants you to take a whole bunch of crit related relics Let's say you happen do deal 100 damage, and assuming you get all the crits 100x1.3x1.3=169 With 2 additional crits 100x(1.3)^4=285.61 With your 4 additional resets, if you have taken the light shaft 100x(1.3)^8=815.73 This scales infinitely if you took the refresh also crit relic, because crits don't reset, but refreshes do

The poketwatch, every time the longer hand makes a revolution, the ball currently in play adds value to whatever values it says (i.e. if the ball is in crit, it will gain damage equal to the stats of its crit number, and vice versa.)

The way the pocketwatch works, is that if enough time passes between pegs being hit, you'll notice that a damage number actually pops up by your orb no matter where it is on the screen. Basically, it adds additional hits between pegs if theres enough hang-time

A lot of the issues with the Vamp Orb is shot selection. It's really important to set it up for a chain, more so than any other orb - if you don't hit a reset immediately before it, it's better to skip.

The suffering seems like it needs a lot of support from other things to be good, either need a lot of refresh to allow the pegs to be hit multiple times, which you had, or it requires something like the cursed mask to offset the damage loss. I agree about there being too much heavy punishment of different things. The bomb stage is a good example, though if you know what red bombs do you know as soon as you see it that you need to be careful not to pop too many. It’s a stage that requires you to choose your shots carefully. So matroshka and pegnet are really bad for it. The blind fight is an interesting idea but because you can’t see anything or target the invisible enemies it means there’s no skill to it at all so they had to make it really easy. For the mirrors and damage types I think it’s targeted damage verses thrown damage. Anything that is thrown at it, like stones, it’s double damage but a proportion of it reflected back at the player but for anything that targets the column directly, such as lightning or orbelisk, it doesn’t reflect any damage back but it takes half damage. I guess the idea is that you can either target it directly and take it down slowly or take a risk and gamble on taking it down in a single shot so it doesn’t get the chance to reflect back.

I had a pretty great orbelisk run the other day. There's a relic that gives all stones a pretty beefy boost, and boulders are awesome because they deal overflow damage by default. Really fun to see one of those rows of knights be felled with one good boulder bounce. At one point I got the event that let you duplicate all your orbs as well. I had an item that allowed discarding twice, so I've never pressed a button faster than that. Orbelisk ended up doing like 50 damage per peg on a crit, shit was insane.

I had a run in which i got Gift that Keeps Giving, popping corn, cursed mask, lucky penny, light shaft potion, ring of reuse, and power glove. I had 2 level 3 lightning orbs, 1 level 3 matriorshka, for a total of 6 of these orb uses. My attacks were dealing +3 damage, and with the amount of pegs i was hitting, i would average 1000 damage with each throw, and regen so much hp with popping corn that i would gain upwards of 40hp per throw. From lucky penny and light shaft potion my board was getting refreshed enough that i would not run out of pegs to throw. I also got extreme bomb synergy, getting the 7% regen bomb thing.

Tyler, I found an OVERPOWERED combo. It's the weighted chip relic + Matryorbshka. You get the Weighted Chip relic from a random event (the question mark spaces), and the gambling one. It's not that bad, you wont lose that much HP. Just keep doing the chip and you'll get it. How is it overpowered? Well, you remember how the Matryorbshka has multiball, right? And the Weighted Chip relic gives the slots at the bottom a multiplier. Well, 3 balls go in, it's a times eight damage multiplier in total. And it even affects the damage the pegs give, so theoretically, if we were to hit around 25 pegs, we could theoretically get 6400 damage, and with a crit, 12800 damage I think. But, what makes it even more OP is the fact that you can get relics to BOOST THE DAMAGE, And also, you'd be hitting WAY more than 25 pegs way later in the game because you'd most likely have something that allows the board to refresh or whatever a lot quicker, and even without that, the balls could keep hitting refresh buttons. The max damage I've been able to get with it is I think maybe around 500,000? might be a bit of an exaggeration, but it is OVERPOWERED. Also, the stats for the slots are as follows: 2x (2 slots), 1x, 0.5x, 0x. So try to avoid the 0x and 0.5x.

The red bomb event is really survivable as long as you have healing relics like you did in this run. They do much more damage to the enemies than yourself and as long as you don't get unlucky enough to land a fuck ton of bombs in one go than you should survive.

your Nosforbatu with your build has a guaranteed 30 damage to every enemy on first use and then after that it's 42, 54, 66, etc, so while it does hurt you, with the 2x healing and damage per hit, with your scaling it'll start healing you more than hurting really quick!

I beat the animated ruins for the first time today, putting me in top 0.1% of players! I had a crazy setup with peg durability, damage for peg bounces and healing for peg bounces, and extra bombs that meant if i just kept shooting to the left of the rotating board I was destroying the ruins. Honestly as long as you manage to destroy one, that fight becomes much much easier. Just don't let it cascade.
