I’ve also always been the quiet kid. I have always talked a little bit at least since my early elementary years. But I’ve always struggled socially. I never came off as the super social kid. These days though, I’m horribly lonely and don’t have any close friends. I have friends, but none of them I consider close and they don’t make me feel cared for. It sucks. Watching this though makes me feel kinda interesting inside. I have aspergers and ADHD diagnosed. I’ve never been diagnosed with selective mutism. But basically, I pretty much have it with what I already have. It really kinda depends on the day and where I am and what’s being talked about. Many days though, I will just sit barely paying attention and either imagining or doodling something. Sometimes I talk though even if it’s just for short bits.

bruh, in first grade there was this kid, he didn’t speak in class, but one time the teacher tried to call him out, since she visited his house to talk to his parents, saying that he can speak and all that. he just smiled, I felt bad but I didn’t know what to do, most people stayed quiet oof

I was also the quiet kid. People always kept saying "he's too quiet", "why are you so quiet?", "you need to talk more", "do you talk?", etc etc. On top of that, my face keeps making me appear sad, so some people would always come up and talk to me because they think I'm sad and lonely (only to say "hi" and "how's your day?" until leaving or turning back around, psh). Like, I would just sit there silently looking down at my desk, and people thought I was some sad lonely kid. I'm still mostly the quiet kid today, but so far no one's said much to me regarding my silence. Also, I too used to think the world was black and white when I was younger x3
