I disagree with taxi thing. It’s quite expensive. Just as an example, I took a taxi from pudong airport to hongqiao Hilton and that guy took 400 yuan for that drive. I guess it is around 50kms. It’s 4600INR. I know I cannot compare this to Indian services but just wanted to mention it as I felt that it is not cheap. The distance from my home to airport in Bangalore is also around 50kms and the premium cab costs me 1200INR that’s like 105 yuan (these are nearly similar to normal cabs in China just for comparison). Normal cab will cost me 900INR, that’s like 80 yuan.. But I agree that public transport is quite cheap at par with Bangalore (public transport in Bangalore is the most expensive of all cities in India)..
