Isn’t it wild that no matter what you do. We will be criticized! I seen a comment in this video about water quality and plastics. I noticed you washed n the plastic containers. But with fresh clean water. You poured the fruit out of the plastic and rinsed in clean water!!! The problem with most people!! Jealousy. Just because they don’t take the time and effort to protect themselves and their loved ones!! They still have to criticize people who do care enough to put in the work!!!! Your wife should be thankful!!! She has the cleanest fruit and veg in the world!!!! You’re awesome bro!!! That’s love!!! To put in the time and effort for your family!

That’s just KZbin and social media. People are so critical online but would never say anything in real life face to face. I try to be a good person and make the best videos I can but I’m just a regular person who makes mistakes and is flawed just like everybody else. Thanks so much for your support! 🤝

Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how you wash your produce. Currently trying to find a proper wash routine after learning of all of the chemicals they put on produce… horrifying! I appreciate people like you who can educate others on a better way of doing things. :)

You’re so welcome! I’m also refining this process of how I clean the fruits for the very same reason that you mentioned. Fruits and vegetables are healthy, but they are also all covered with pesticides and other chemicals from conventional farming.

respect to you for going the extra mile, as much as i found this interesting i'll stick to running water just to save time. thanks for sharing

Hi Chef Ange. I left a grapefruit with the sticker on in the fridge and to my disgust the grapefruit developed mildew under the sticker. They don't decompose in the compost.

What if your sink is always dirty? Do you recommend doing each step in different bowls?
@ChefAnge5 ай бұрын
You could do it in bowls but sounds like you need to clean your sink. Cooking starts and ends with a clean and empty sink.

2 problems here 1. What is the water quality that you're cleaning with ? Tap water especially city water has tons of chemicals. 2. You're washing the fruits in microplastics which isnt good at all .
@ChefAngeАй бұрын
Our water is highly filtered and tested regularly. We do our best to reduce plastic exposure. Eliminating it altogether is unrealistic for us as a family but feel free to make whatever adjustments fit your personal healthy and lifestyle preferences.

I would remove the fruits from their plastic containers to avoid micro plastics as much as possible.

They came in plastic from the store and I repackaged them in glass containers.

You are both correct. Moisture can indeed cause berries to go bad quicker, but unwashed ones tend to have tiny mold spores on them that *also* cause the same effect. The optimal result is washing them thoroughly and then dry the fruit and berries properly on paper towels before you put them away, as the fridge will make the moisture linger. Make sure to leave ventilation holes in the top uncovered so air can circulate in the package. Paper towels at the bottom of the containers can help with the condensation, and you can swap them out if they get too damp.

@@ChefAnge Aggh! By mistake I said Baking Powder instead of Baking Soda. "" Keep confusing "" I have already mentioned Baking Soda 7 hours ago long before you just keep telling me the same thing "" I am using Baking Soda "" I don't care baking powder , baking soda. The issue you keep marketing the 2 brands. If you are going to market, you should mention you''re getting paid by those brands.
