The Sedjil and the fakour-90 have the same motor, the former is a SAM missile adapted to the f-14, while the ladder is the AIM-54 adapted with the sedjil’s motor

the Fakour and the Sedjil missiles are both modified MIM-23 Hawk surface to air missiles that have been modified to be air to air, the Sedjil is a bit of an earlier variant and more of a stop-gap weapon while the Fakour was being developed fully as an ARH missile.

Yeah the stat cards for missiles aren’t helpful at all. Missing stats like burn time, lofting angle, and effective range (lock/launch range is usually wayyy farther than the missile is actually capable of reaching)

the problem with the Fakour-90 is that it actually has a shorter burn time, so it actually will star losing it's speed sooner than an aim-54a, the increased weight will also really hurt it at these extended ranges because it will take MUCH more speed to keep it aloft. the sedjil will be really funny though because people will just be thinking an f-14a tried a moonshot with a sparrow

Actually stats say other wise people have already tested the missile it reaches higher speed a lot faster and slowly increases even faster an excess of at times near Mach 5 also pulls less fin aoa which means less speed bleed and it’s increased weight helps with intertia going downwards

People have tested it, the Fakour is actually just better than the Phoenix at those far ranges (50ish km), having a much shorter TTT (time to target), and it does maintain a good speed for the entire time the sustainer is burning. It took the Fakour 46 seconds to travel 45 km, that’s just slightly over 1km a second, the Phoenix on the other hand, tool well over a minute to travel that far. Overall, it’ll just be a really funny, goofy missile to use 😂

except its sustainer makes it keep speed, so it gets up to high speed in 5 seconds, and maintains that high speed for 21 seconds, the aim-54 spends 30 seconds accelerating very slowly, then falls off, it also has less delta V the fakour is a sedjil flight performance wise, they fly almost the same The fakour is faster than the aim-54 at 5 seconds than the aim-54 is at 30 seconds (peak aim54 speak) Its also faster at 30 seconds than aim-54 is despite having run out of fuel for 5 seconds earlier The smaller diameter and higher weight also means it retains energy better

Not true, people have tested it already, it keeps its energy much better than the phoenix. Currently the best long range BVR missile for the Time-to-target. It not only reaches the target first ( @60km+) but it will also have a much greater terminal velocity (+M0.80 compared to the 54A)

The only thing I already don't like about the plane is the AIM-9P as the only short-range missiles, they have pretty decent manueverability, but the engine working time is trash, and that means you can't succesfully launch that missile above 2 km from the enemy.

I mean, the Sedjil is literally just the precursor of the Fakour. The Iranians took a MIM-23 and first modified it to be a SARH, then a ARH missile to replace their Phoenixes with a design they could produce locally. There's differing opinions on how similar they are IRL, but in WT, they are the exact same missile with different guidance systems, so the Sedjil is just a worse Fakour.

Fun fact. Sedjil was a ground-to-air missile that was modified to be launched from air. The reason it was modified was to replace phinixes because iran ran out of phinixes but the iran iraq war was not over yet

Well the T-72M2 is worth like $300GJN and i don't think that thing has the same demand as something like a rank VIII Iranian F-14 Tomcat in the U.S tree, I would honestly not be surprised if this thing ends up being worth $350-$400GJN in 2-3 years. Lately I've been grinding SL's with my F4 S and I've found Tomcats are my best friends as I've found going high and staying behind them by a few kilometers is the best way to avoid getting sniped by any enemies going high while I bonk them from 20-40k out before hunting low enemies. I know most people joust with it but I can reliably get 2-3 kills going high and sniping with the AIM 7E

@@explosivecommando9100 I'll admit, Im only in rank V on American TT so I never played it. I have however played multiple planes at 11.3-12.0 with RWRs ranging from shit to pretty Ok. It matters a huge deal in those BRs. I saw that they have different RWRs and that Zenturion (youtuber) said the f14A models RWR isn't that good. And that scared me since I really wanted this f14 from event. I'm not an expert at this tbh. Can confirm that the f5e fcu has a better RWR than more modern Soviet planes that it faces, so maybe it'll still be fine since the f14 is still American.

The R one is the slowest of all Sarhs at that br but has a 35G overload Plus it lacks the sustainer of the ER so it's overall range is more inline with an E2 DF
