I didn't think so from my experience personally. The Cerekote did absolutely nothing on my Audi headlights. Had to break out the 3M kit, and that took care of it.

Hi Josh, Mike from Fleetwood PA., Was manager of detail shop of a new car dealership, since retired and doing detailing at home now. Not really impressed with your results and that was a panel with sprayed with water hose a few times for what a total of maybe 15min?, and it flattened out in shine from beginning. However price fairly reasonable, have you tried to compare it with these that I use! Now I wash and clay then use these cermanic products, Next Gen, Hydrosilex, and Hays ceramic coatings all spray on very easily. On my own car all of these lasted around 6 months. A little more expensive though. I dont know if you have heard of ClayZilla?, it came out about 7 to 10 yrs ago. They sold out in 1st 6 months, then about 3 yrs ago the company making them went out of business and noone took it over. SurfCity garage still has it listed as out of stock. I new the manager they were devasted when they couldn't get it any more. It looks like a pc mouse with a special velcrow pad, Surfcity sent me one before they started selling it to test it, It is so simple and looking at it you would think this thing will clean the paint, but it does 200% easier and faster than clay bar. I did 50 vehicles before changing to a new pad. Any way last year I bought out every clayzilla pad I could find. I would never go back to a clay bar. Its to bad this product went out of business, there are clones out there or copies of clayzilla but the pad is the key that they dont have. I am 70yrs young and have been building streetrods and detailing since 1971. Ok later sorry for the long comment! Mike

Fair test with a good lesson on after care aesthetics maintenance in the area of choice of car cleaning products. I can't help but wonder if the Cerakote Rapid Ceramic paint sealant product would have performed better on a properly prepared, applied, oven cured and ambient flashed surface of an H-series coating. This could be something to explore when you take your upcoming Cerakote factory tour.

Going to the cerakote facility will be a really good experience for you. I was a painter before I was a detailer.every time I went to a PPG training I would pick up a lot of insight and knowledge.

I dont know why i see so many videos of people torture testing Techicians choice detail spray, which typically last a few weeks, against sealants which lasts months. For detail sprays, protection is a secondary bonus feature. Whereas for sealants, that's the primary feature, so it doesn't sound fair to me to compare the two.

That’s a very fair point. I think it’s cause as a detail spray, the technicians choice performs way better than just a detail spray. But I do agree with you.

I just tried technicians choice for the first time, based on your recommendation. It works great. There isn't a huge difference between the three. Considering that cerakote is twice as much as technicians choice, I`ll stick with it.

I mix the TC at 1 part chemical to 0.5 part distilled water for after a wash once a base coat is installed. I rinse and spreay down the whole car with the TC and do a normal towel dry and never get any streaks.

Nice test. I have an opinion question. I have a couple garage queens. Both Ceramic coated. What in your opinion give you the best showroom finish with gloss and slickness. I am presently using a combination of 3D bead it up and Dream Maker. It works great, but I'm always wondering if they is something better? I'm getting Gloss Units in the high 90's . Thanks Dave

Just started using cerakote. I just bought a new car as well. I have applied many different expensive and inexpensive ceramic coatings and cerakote was by far the easiest. No issues with streaking and great shine. Will wait and see how durable it is after applying two coats over a 4 day period.

Tecnician choice is at a disadvantage, wheel out line on the door, it slows down the sheeting process. Water sheets then builds up at the wheel outline, forcing the water to go down to the left. Causing a restriction and slowing down Tec sheeting abillty. Im not trying to be negative or anything like that. I appreciate u taking ur own time and money to record edited and post ur vids. Im just stating the other 2 products have a wider sheeting area from start to finish to allow the products and gravity to do its job. From sudbury ontario Canada, I was in Florida, got some spray coatings, Cerakote was one of them. Not sure if u ever tested White Diamond ceramic infused graphene spray. If u havent, Id love to see u test that and give ur opinion on tjat product. Thanks for ur vids

I did my headlights with the trim coat useing the instructions from the headlight kit but started at 1000 grit wet sanding had no headlight cleaner lol had the exact same results if you buy ure own sand paper and get the trim coat id say ure better off 10 wipes over 5. did 1 headlight as a test now that side is shining.

I tried the Flex but currently using Megs Ceramic blue spray. I like the Megs better. The Flex and Megs HCW can both be applied to a wet surface unlike the Cerakote. Apex tested Flex and got a 100 on his gloss meter. I wonder what a gloss meter would read on the Cerakote.

Josh, I found a topper that is excellent maybe better than the cerakote. Have you taken a look at Xtreme solutions topper? By the way how often should one apply a topper should it be done after each wash? I am currently using carpro reset in a foam Cannon and in a bucket for my maintenance washes and then I used the topper for gloss enhancement and hydrophobic enhancement after the wash.

You can tell by the performance you see at hand. Or if you are starting to have trouble cleaning and area and having immediate hydrophobic or hydrophilic results. That would indicate it's getting weak.

You always want any sort of tar remover to be the last test, since most of them are solvent-based products and that's usually a spray coating killer. I learned that from Martin Weatherspoon. He also takes a good soap like Hybrid Solutions Slick-n-Slide between test products. Seems to work very well for cleansing the panel of the test chemicals. That said, I always love watching your videos and product reviews! Keep 'em coming Josh!

Thanks! Yea that make sense with the tar remover. As far as the soap between passes, that makes a tone of sense to me but to be honest i tested it that way first and the soap seemed to have a slight effect as well. To be fair I just used some meguiars gold class that I have close by and it may have had something in that was effecting the contact angle of the ceramic products
