I love all of your content. And I think your approach is very achievable and realistic. I think you SHOULD coach. Many of us are of a certain age and it really isn't all that appealing to have a 20-something year old vegan who hasn't battled weight issues telling us what to buy, how to eat and rigorous routines in the gym can sound overwhelming. I think you would seem more like a friend helping me out..... For a price 😆 JMO

I also wanted to say that some years ago my sis who was an excellent cook told me not to be afraid of following recipes and that the main thing you do with one is take it, tweak it to your tastebuds, and then make it your own. Since that day I started cooking all sorts of things from recipes and either subbing out or leaving out ingredients altogether. I’m not good at it so I’m always googling about substitutions. I admire your natural ability to sub out ingredients and love to watch your results! I’m from Phoenix, AZ btw

I like your comments about swaps. I've followed a lot of different food paths in my life and as a result have a large cookbook collection. I don't want to get rid of them all. Instead I'd like to take flavor inspiration from some of my favorite recipes and try to swap out things to make them plant-based, healthier, and still give me the pleasure they did before. It's not always possible or easy, but you provide creative inspiration. If I succeed, that's a big accomplishment that would make me feel great. Much more than just following a recipe as written.

Perhaps you could consider offering a coaching service that would include “good habit creation and accountability”. When someone is new to plant based and/or new to working out, frequent check-ins can be very helpful to establish a new routine.

100% I would be interested in having you as a plant based health coach. I have only been vegan since September, so am still really new to this way of eating. This channel has been so beneficial in many ways to help me on this journey. I don't actually know any vegans personally and none of my family is really on board with my choices (aside from my husband, thankfully), so I have really appreciated these videos, your recipes and reviews, and the interaction you're willing to provide in the comments. I would absolutely be willing to pay money to work with you to make sure I'm balancing out my meals correctly and getting all the nutrients I need, menu planning, and just overall support. After doing the research, I realized how much a plant based lifestyle would help me prevent a lot of diseases that run in my family, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. I want to be here for as long as I can be for my children, so any support I can get to help me achieve my health goals and be here for my kids, I would be totally on board with. I have never disliked any if your content. The variety is nice and it’s fun to watch different types of formats. I fully support the way you modify recipes and state what you are doing and the reason in your review videos. I do exactly the same thing in my kitchen so I think it’s great to know how the recipes come out with the modifications. I never use oil and always reduce the sugar. I have learned about substitutes I haven’t thought of from you such as bananas for oil (I use applesauce) so that’s a good thing to know and I thank you for that. About Woolie’s nickname, I was so curious! I had no idea it’s her name. I thought maybe she likes to wear snuggly woolly clothes, lol! I follow Simmnet Nutrition, Broccoli mum, PB Dads. I do not have a formal exercise regimen, which is my missing link on my health journey. I know if I start I will get into it. I’m 67 years old and need to do it already! I think you would make a great heath coach bc the compassion and respect you have for your guests comes through in your facial expressions during your interviews. You really listen to your guests. Thanks for this video. It was very entertaining. You’re lucky that the rest of your family is on board with your way of eating. It is challenging to be plant based when your spouse and everyone you know is not. My hubbie always loves my vegan meals, but he continues to supplement them with animal products. He also brings non-compliant goodies into the house. It takes a lot of willpower not to give in. Sometimes I have it and sometimes I don’t. I’m also a longtime fan of Plant based dads, Simnett nutrition, broccoli mum, wheezy waiter, chef aj…. You’ve given me a lot of good ideas when doing the recipe swaps. Keep doing what you are doing. Hi Iris! Extremely lucky that our family is (mostly) on board. The kids still dabble in animal bi-products here and there. We've never forced them to be fully plant-based, but lead by example. I love when you show swaps, especially when you are adapting a recipe to remove the oil/surgar. I appreciate knowing how to do that, and seeing how it turned out for you. I really enjoy @DerekSarno108. He and his brother are plant based chefs. They just love food and cooking. Derek's method of cooking mushrooms with two cast iron pans was a game changer for me. Their cookbook Wicked Healthy Cookbook was one of the first vegan cookbooks I explored. I recently got into @TheKoreanVegan. She is definately not oil free, but she just makes beautiful content, and I love the story telling she does with every video. @KevinOutdoors is not vegan, but he is another Canadian and he has published a backpacking dehydrator cookbook. Dehydrator recipes are pretty much oil free because food with oil does not dehydrate. It is easy to swap in meat alternatives. Keep up the good work. One of my favourite plant-based KZbinrs are Sadia on PickupLimes (she's also Cdn though now lives in the Netherlands) and I LOVE her blog -- her food is incredibly delicious, full of flavour. I am at that time of life when losing muscle mass is a big concern (71 yr old woman). My morning routine consists of fast pacing up and down the hallway (backwards and forwards) with modified pushups every five minutes. Later on in the day I do a lot of aerobic movement supplemented with various types of lunges. Otherwise, I will do dumbbells. Some days I will take long hiking walks. Lately, I got my bicycle out to take out on a trail that is close by. Overall, my goal is aerobics and strengthening. I get in at least 7,000 steps a day, 60 modified pushups, and at least 60 lunges. When I was younger, I used to do a lot of trail hiking and biking. I miss those days.

Hi there I am new to your channel and have subbed! Thank you for this, my word of the year has always been OPTIONS for about ten years now ha ha. I first went off the meat, when I retired, because I didn't feel well to be honest. Did that for a few months less meat and dairy, (inflammation!) then went veggie tarian and thought I would starve to death ha ha ha ha I did not, still here, then tried plant based and here I am years later, I have had people tell me that quote You don't know what you are missing! Well my bod and I feel so much better and besides it has been a really fun journey cooking like this and I have many cook books, why, not sure. Don;t use them but thought I really needed them. So I want to thank you for being here, I am happy I found you, now I can watch someone that is way down to earth that cooks and has fun doing so. I will be playing catch up when I can taking notes and more. Your idea of coaching is a good one I think. Years ago while working education in uni or school was encouraged however I feel my feelings are if one has personal experience and knowledge of living the life and accomplishing a lovely goal learning and researching along the way, this THIS is so much better than learning in a school with no personal experience. Whoa long comment ha ha but really glad you did this video so I could get to know you! Good luck, check out The Why Files if you want really fun STELLAR channel so FUN story telling and they have a patron option with many levels, might be something to check out also discord.com, a free place where other like minded folks can chine in 24/7. They also have merh so there you go, just a couple of ideas. BTW they just surpassed 3 million. They post every Thursday evening usually.

Thanks for recommending Why Files - I feel like I'm going to lose a lot of time on that channel! I've thought about doing a discord, but wasn't sure my audience would be over there. I did set up a patreon awhile back, but perhaps need to look at that again for something like this. Thanks!!!

Thank you so much for answering all those questions Jeremy. I think everybody is different, but there is no chance that someone will watch your videos and won´t find something to relate to. You are so genuine and kindhearted and your family is adorable. Watching your videos made my daughter more willing to try new recipes and for that I am really thankful. I work out with hasfit as well and I really love Caroline Girvan´s videos too. If you decide to coach you will do an excellent job for sure 🙂

Hey! I love your videos. Something I never see is: a meal plan is include a reasonable set of seasoning and nothing more! (Say 12 things and that's it). It feels like every recipe asks for something new 😅 So fully agree on the swaps :)

I really enjoy the diversity of your channel! Regarding your professional ideas: You have the best expertise because you went through everything yourself, so you can report authentically and truthfully. I think you should be able to differentiate yourself clearly and responsibly from explicitly medical, therapeutic issues. But maybe you can? I can imagine that people on their weight loss journey would appreciate working with you. You asked for workout routines: I love swimming, I do it almost every day(Freestyle and Breaststroke), soon I will grow webbed fingers and toes :) That's definitely going to happen!

Thanks for a wonderful video. I love when you switch up the recipes you are reviewing. It is more fun to look at something that is suitable for this type of eating than at something that does not fit in. So thanks for that. I am also part of the team that wants a video about maintenance. Have maintained my target weight for over a year, but dribble a few kilos up and down all the time. It seems difficult to stay in the same place. Love from Randi in Denmark

Thanks J = Honestly I think starting a support group with a small monthly membership fee would be fantastic. While coaching would be great I think a support group would allow more connection with more folks and take it beyond the singular You Tube experience. Really your videos are already doing a lot of coaching. A place where folks can share recipes, share successes, commiserate failures, but most importantly always move forward. - Weight Maintenance - I think a good video would be how to get back on track after you realize your clothes are getting tight again. - Videos you watch - don't see the list of workout channels in the description, would be great to do some interviews with their creators.

Another awesome video, Jeremy. I’ve lost 70lbs so far on this way of eating, as well as exercising 5 days a week. My 3 go-to exercises are H.I.I.T. On the elliptical, bicycle 16-30 miles, or resistance training. Living in FL I’m able to alternate each day.

@romanb182711 ай бұрын
@@pbwithjeremy It does feel great. I’ve been carrying this extra weight for 30+ years, so to be back at my high school weight does feel great. That being said, I still have a ways to go. I still need to drop another 40lbs, as I’m still overweight (according to the charts). Like everything else, persistence and time will be key. I do know that I can not return to my old ways of eating. I don’t miss any of the old foods, so that helps. It took a health scare with my kidneys to get me to change my way of eating. I changed to improve my kidney health, and the added benefits of weight loss, normal labs, and getting off 3 of my 4 BP meds were side-effects of this way of eating. I wish I knew the healing effects of good nutrition years ago. All my doctors I’ve had over the years here in the states never mentioned this way of eating could help lower my BP, but they were more than happy to write prescriptions for various BP meds. I enjoy your channel and your content. Please continue. I think it has a positive effect for many of us here, more than you may think it does.

Hi Jeremy, Not sure if this will be helpful...but High Carb Hannah has the kind of thing your talking about trying ....in the way of weight lost meal prep and helpful videos to start your weight lost journey. Have a look if you haven't already. What am I looking for out in the world is everyday meals that we all eat weekly. I know you bring this to your channel in many forms, from other peoples cook books etc, plus your own recipes. A while back you looked at Plantiful Kiki cook book. I know some of the recipes in that book are basic and simple. But I have the book and use it alot. Because of that very reason. My pantry in full of the normal stables. I often prep on Sundays. I often make Kiki's Ranch dressing to go with any salads for the week and her cheese sauce to go with potatoes or through any pasta meals. I often make you spaghetti bowl dish you taught us on your channel. I also often make your egg salad sandwiches if people come over as they can't tell the difference. I have friends who eat this way and they also comment that the best recipes are the ones that taste great and are simple. Meals that you can cook weekly and you don't have to buy unusual ingredients. Everyone is busy and we all love food. For this same reason I often use Broccoli mums recipes. To be truthful. I don't buy PDF food books any more as I never go into my computer to look up a recipe. I love a real cook books I can hold and see from the pictures what I am aiming for. I don't purchase weight lost programme like High Carb Hannahs as finding money each week is tough etc. Plus I love the freedom to do my own things. I just love watching real people cooking and discovering new ideas. But again in the simple form without crazy ingredients. I do understand your looking for a different way to increase your income and that I truly understand. I am just giving feedback which you asked for. I would not purchase a weight lost program and I would not purchase a PDF book. But I would purchase real cook books you could hold and flick through. I keep them on my kitchen bench top and use them Everyday. I love watching a few You Tubers like yourself, Broccoli Mum, High Carb Hannah and Plantiful Kiki. As you guys are creating real home cooked food. Being plant base we all really enjoy real food. I remember reading an article about changing over to plant based eating. it was stating we all normally have 10 to 12 dinner meals we always fall back on regularly most weeks. Then we have a few 4-6 breakfast meals we use and love. And around 10 to 12 sweet treats we fall back to when needed ranging from desserts to biscuits, slices, and cakes. Which is true for our family. The article was explaining how we need to find those replacement meals that we use to eat like Mac & Cheese or Burger and Chips, Spaghetti Bowl, or our favorite Birthday Cake or Chocolate Moose and turning them into a healthier & delicious plant based Meals for success. Soups were high lighted at health and a way to use up items in our fridges. It was so interesting and its so true. One thing I really, really love about Plantiful Kiki's books. It that they are simple. Thats what we all want. They are tasty, and healthy. Plus she give a full story of her weight lost journey and she breaks int all down in simple form. all of this is just feed back which you asked for. I hope it helps in some way. Never stop the recipes coming and giving all the ingredients amounts as that is what keeps me using these few channels as my main source of knowledge. I hate it, like really hate it when all of a sudden the you tuber starts leaving out a measurement in there recipe hoping you will buy there books etc. I have stopped watching other you tubers because of this reason as I hate when something like Chocolate brownie slice is in the title. You start watching to see if you have the ingredients then one or two measurements are left out. What a waste of there time and mine as my time is valuable also. Once this happens a few times. I leave the channel. Its so sad as some of these amazing people (you tubers) become so close to my heart as food has always been my connect to people and I have watched them for years. Then this happens and I feel so , so betrayed by them. Like it all becomes about the money to them. I hope you find what is the right for you ....and increase your income while also enjoying yourself. because what ever you do ....should be about you first always. This is just my honest view on it which you asked for. Thank you for this video, as I really love finding out the nitty gritty of the people in my life. Take Care Terri from Australia 🇦🇺 💜 🦘
@pbwithjeremy11 ай бұрын
Thanks for this really in-depth response Terri! Totally hear you on all of this. I’ll keep providing all of the measurements so long as no one comes along and complains about me giving away the recipes. I sort of see it as radios with sample songs from albums for people so they can get a sense if they wanted to buy the whole record, I think it’s OK. Thanks again for watching. Glad you enjoy our content! I can’t speak for all KZbinrs, but it certainly isn’t just about the money, but we do need to find a way to financially compensate for all the time we put into creating the content for everyone. It’s a balance for sure. Thanks again!

Hi there, Elizabeth from Ontario Canada, I love you videos and watch them often, I really like how down to earth you and your family are. Your home is real, and I love that you show recipes, that worked and some fails. Your personalities are very funny and easy going. It’s very cool that you read all of your comments. I think you would make a great health coach! I am new to plant base diet and I have definitely had lots of struggles so far. Just knowing what to eat, how to balance my meals. Making stuff that’s fast and easy. I have bought lots of cool books and made many of your recipes which have been great but sometimes I just don’t feel like chopping vegetables or making a dressing in my blender. A lot of plant base meals I find take a lot of time to make. Using many different appliances like blender, food processor, magic bullet, fry pan, oven etc. I know it’s a journey but having someone guide beginners into this lifestyle would be so helpful!!!!😊
