Easiest dam is put some chain link fence where you want dammed and it kinda catches all the floating debris and seals itself. You can assist with that and speed it up as well. Best of luck Lojo, and thanks for what all you guys do.

@@xcellentclips3318 That would be sweet. I've done it before and I like this way because if you need to drain for any reason it's not permanent and you can move the debris and let it flow and block it back up whenever while holding your fish in.

You need to put posts in behind were you want the damb then place bags of sand neatly stacked onto of each other, then put posts infront to make sure it doesnt fall forwards. Also you have to poke a hole in the bags so it doesnt have some air in it. And use very long t posts and drive them really deep into the ground.

I’m just going to throw this out there being that I work in the natural resource profession. Might want to check with your local Core of Engineers before you impound that stream. Generally there are permits associated with tampering with wetlands (beaver pond) and such. Can result in a nasty fine if a big beautiful pond shows up on future aerials where a stream and wetland complex use to be. Just a word of an advice, can’t wait to see the progress.

I had an idea for a challenge that I haven’t seen really any of the larger fishing channels do. Try to catch large bass/fish on vintage tackle. Or maybe have a little competition with the Googan Gang. Something along those lines. I was gonna suggest just vintage lures but we know that it’s not that hard to do but I feel like adding in an older rod and reel just ups the challenge to another level.

What you should’ve done was drive several large stakes with a generous amount of tarp nailed to them crated a sorta seal to the ground. Have the stakes sticking out of the water maybe a foot or so, on both sides of the entrance that you wanted to dam.. than stick a water pump inide the area you just blocked off… it wont be perfect at first, but itll give you the room and eyesight you need to build the dam, or improve a better system to keep the water out as you’re trying to build the dam.
