They also had a son who was drafted to the military before the world changing events, he just disappeared one day, so they've lost two children at this point.

the thing that gets me about this game isn't the "plot twist" since its pretty easy to spot early on, but rather how far they go with it. talking foods as the result of nukes? sure, whatever. actually seeing surviving humans in bomb shelters and *killing* one of them? thats pretty rad and then they just act like that didn't happen. 10/10

What separates this game from almost all other "cute funny game, but actually super dark" is that it never takes itself too seriously. The comedy and tone stay consistent throughout the whole game. There is no moment where it gets super dark. The heavy themes and lore are there from the start if you're looking. This isn't a dig at similar games, btw. I love indie games like this. I just noticed that this game has so much charm, it's writing isn't forced, and it understands the references deeper than just mindlessly throwing them in.

I've been pushing watching this for a while now, and I just went to relax on the sofa after getting home from work, erands and all that. And I ended up falling asleep and KZbin must've just kept going cause I didn't intentionally put this on. Long story short, I woke up listening to the end credits song, smiling and bopping my foot to the tune and it genuinely was the best feeling I've had in a while.
