First time I've heard anyone speak of "Roberts Ridge" online other than "Alone at Dawn" re. Chappy...

Operation Anaconda. The early battle on the peak of Takur Ghar which is later named "Roberts' Ridge". Lack of appropriate advance scouting had serious adverse consequences.

A $350 dollar RPG crippled a $65 Million helicopter. There should be an anti-RPG switch at that price.

That's wild man. My first assignment as a Warrant was B TRP 1/17 CAV (ACS now) in 2017. I am actually back in the Squadron now, in F TRP, which is UAS. Squadron just got back recently from a deployment. Hope you are doing well!

@mstegs5477 you know us old paratroopers. We never die just fade away. As far as doing well? I still train hard but this time it is for extreme mountain biking. The more obstacles the better.

As a small business owner I'm having the opposite problem. I'm trying to hire salespeople with very high income potential . I hardly get any qualified candidates to apply and those that do ghost me at interviews.

How far are you from the Carolina’s? My BIL was a photographer for a weapons company and then another tactical company. They have two kids and he’s running out of time. Not sure he’s ever thought about sales but saw your comment and I’m always looking out for an opportunity for him. Let me know how far from South Carolina and maybe it’s meant to be? As a business owner myself I gave up on hiring anyone, so I feel your frustration sir! It’s crazy but there’s still good people out there, somewhere.

Holy shit. I never heard the part of THE RPG going through and through, hitting the ammo can. If that was a movie, I’d turn it off cause I’d say it was too unrealistic. People have no idea what guys were doing over there. God knows how much I miss just being in the same vicinity of so many men, who by all historical standard, are absolute grade-A in brains, physicality, and character. Makes me sad, considering I’m headed to an office in 20 mins to work with very average people, which I am one of.
