Bride of chucky is the best one after the first. It dives more into who chucky is and go more over the top since you’re not suppose to take the character so seriously. Plus I love stitched chucky s look better.

I felt like most chucky fans enjoyed this one was actually better than the first overall as far asthe chucjy community, he's more fierce and aggressive where as the first he's more stealthy and makes you wonder is he really alive etc. The animatronics were actually much better in this movie and the next 2, they had better tech they said in the documentaries. But chucky looks a little different in every movie yet the same overall so you can recognize him. You see more of chuckys personality in the sequels. Unique view though, I donr see many people hating or not liking this movie but the 3rd one. Im curious to see your reaction to that one now lol. But yeah I love this movie, the TV syfy version had a different ending where you see the machine form a new doll head with the doll head smirking.

Look Child’s Play aka Chucky again is all about nostalgia for me. I told you guys a lot of these movies are pure fun and not that great. In all honesty I like the origins Child’s play and Curse of Chucky and Cult. They actually have decent story lines and fun kills. I gave you a short list of movies hoping you two get to them one day. But I must say be aware that is not a really a horror/thriller like the first one, it is more a fun horror film (only the actor who played andy came back but the mom & the cop couldn't). Are you going to watch it with your friend (of the first Child's play) ? Because I remembered that he wanted to see more chucky on screen ... I’d recommend you guys skip childs Play 3 and go straight to Bride of Chucky. Part 3 is the same plot as 1 & 2 but with Bride you get the amazing addition of Jennifer Tilly which has made this franchise a lot better going forward. And it drops the Andy ark and just goes to new characters and focuses mainly on Chucky and Tiffany.

I get why people prefer the first, but for me, it takes itself too seriously. I love the mix of horror and comedy in this one The look is more appealing as well. I love the color. I love the different settings, like the house, the school, and the factory. It's not just the drab apartment and Chicago streets.
