As a Genshin fan who has been playing for 3 years, I really appreciate your reactions to Genshin related content. Typically, when someone who doesn't play Genshin hears or talks about it they go "LOL! Genshin bad," and even if you don't plan on playing it, it's nice that you went out of your way to react to a small portion of its content, and could appreciate the characters, animation, and music. tl;dr: Good shit!

You should definitely watch the Travail teaser, it introduces the chapters of the game and gives you an idea of what the story's all about. There's some other cool teasers that won't spoil too much such as Winter Night's Lazzo which is about the Fatui Harbingers, and the Overture teaser which teases the story and characters in Fontaine and features one of the Fatui Harbingers. There's a lot of cool cutscenes in the game but obviously that's spoilers, but if you want a taste of it you can watch the version trailers!!

i think the reason neuvillettes demo and teser being kind of vage and not teling you a lot about the character is that acually he is very important and everything about him is a giant spoiler i think like half his voicelines where bloced before copliting quests because they had spoilers in them and then the ones that weren’t loced still spoled some stuff genshin literly can’t tell you more about him eithout compromising the story

Re the video: I can't see why anyone would be mad at you watching the demos or teasers! because to me, there's been sooo much appreciation of the art and direction on your end. Which, I in turn, appreciate the appreciation. That said, watching this is WILD -- I'm a long-timer player and lore enthusiast, and it's so AMAZING to see how you got important parts of the lore just from the teasers! I got her after entering Fontaine; while I'm a Lumine main who's actually okay using her Hydro kit (the burst is a bit basic, but meh) and I've somehow pulled both Neuvilette and Furina so my Akhe needs are both comprehensively and semi-redundantly covered (and honestly, the world seems to provide more than enough sources anyway), but she's a nice addition. For a while I was annoyed her dash has no stealth bonus, but I don't have Yelan and hadn't tried her out enough to realize that in fact Yelan's doesn't provide stealth either. Lynette's a nice character, her specialty dish is both cute and something I'm almost tempted to follow the MoriKitchen video for making, and we lucked out in finally getting an English VA for a catgirl who accidentally or not can, according to people who had cats in the room while listening to her lines, actually speak cat.

Btw, about Fischl, even when she is such a character, she still is a very competent Adventurer, many stories she tell are made up, but she really cares about her fellow Adventurers and also is quite a professional and skilled one herself, also she is quite smart one. Zhongli is the very first demo I watched all those years ago and was the reason I started playing Genshin. 3 years on and I still play it a lot with him as my comfy character. I know a lot of people in about the gacha but honestly, there’s so much FREE content doable with any character as well as beautiful music and storyline…it’s a game that gets unnecessary hate. Edit : I also need to say - I saw chat saying some were ‘bad’ characters. Every character is playable. Sadly I have no life so have two accounts. And I’ve built every 4 star and a bunch of 5 stars…and they’re all completely viable. Just about knowing how to build them. I met a candace in multiplayer who absolutely smacked the boss 😂

Tbh I honestly thought that judge guy u didn't like was kind of boring until the fontaine patch came out. I wasn't even gonna put on my team untill i actually learned his deal. Idk the overly stoic, generically edgy and "deep" anime chars are usually pretty boring, but this judge guy actually hits different if when u play and learn the stuff ngl. Pat- you should see the amount of effort they put into the setting of the stages whenever Liu Wei and interviews some of the staff to ask about upcoming features in new versions (occurs in some version trailers). Like, it's phenomenal. Also Hoyoverse is very good about celebrating their fans and encouraging content creators and fan content- there's so many stellar fan creations that are professional-level, and you could check those out.... in the future, since there are spoilers in those vids.

So bout what to watch. If you care about spoilers then dont watch, a winter night's lazzo and the story trailers. Most stroy trailers are in game cutscenes but some are also event cutscenes that arent in the game anymore but they put them all together in a playlist and its a mess. But for a winter night's lazzo its a furneral for a "major" character that died and a tease for others we havent seen. Its mostly a spoiler because of the funeral aspect. But if you truly dont care then go for it. Theyre all some beautiful cutscenens and videos! Teyvat chapter guide says it contains spoilers only cause they show an end game character and tease the upcoming nations and a character from that nation, but other than that nothing really spoilery Version trailers do spoil some things of the story but context is really needed. Youd be more confused than anything. But theyre cool, half the vodeo is the trailer and the other half are event overviews that you can skip. But yeah thanks for checking out genshin and HSR pat been watching you for years and very much enjoyed your content ❤

The thing about there only being five weapon types is actually a good thing. The game is a gacha game. Meaning most of the worthwhile weapons you get from gambling. Considering characters are mostly acquired the same way having each weapon be usable on more characters means gearing characters is slightly easier. That said as the game has developed there are more and more characters that don't really use their equipped weapons in most of their combat animations. An example is Charlotte, her equipped weapon is a catalyst (books) but all of her attack animations are just here taking pictures with her camera.

Thank you for your reaction videos, they're genuinely fun to watch! Many people will tell you to react to the Version Trailers, but... I never really understood the point, they basically spoil a good chunk of the story (maybe it's not too bad without context, but still), and some parts of them show limited events that can not be played anymore. But of course many youtubers have reacted to the trailers before playing, and they could generate some hype (because they really are epic), so I'm not trying to completely discourage you, if you decide to watch them, I hope they will be fun for you! :) (Also, it's so nice to hear you like bards, Venti is literally my favourite character ever haha)

To clarify on weapons, there are five weapon types, swords, claymores, bows, polearms and catalysts. There is some variation in there, for example catalyst is the one where they throw some of the weirder types like the fist users, claymores also include a number of clubs and an axe, swords have some unusual weapons like a metal pipe or a cane, and polearms also includes things like staves or halberds. The only thing that doesn't have much variation is bows, because they all have to support the game's aimshot feature. Also some characters specifically have something that adds a bit of uniqueness. Dori uses her genie for basic attacks for example, Childe makes weapons out of water, either a double bladed spear or a pair of daggers, Chiori dual wields swords, Ayato basically has a stance change as his skill, etc.

Might suggest you play Genshin, simply because i think you will like the Story, plus unless you go for End game content, you wont need to pull Characters (Just Farm to level up Characters to proceed the Story) since the Starting Characters are actually really good (except for a certain Pyro Bow User), plus you get more than enough In game currency to pull by just playing the game.

I’d love to see you get invested in the story. Despite being a gacha game, the story is really good. It seems like with every story expansion, they just keep getting better and better in terms of writing. You don’t need to spend money to enjoy the game. Although the free starter characters are not the best, it’s still possible to beat the game with just those 4.
