Jing Yuan's aphorism is actually valid: what he's basically saying is that becoming a battlefield commander requires drilling basic tactics into the equivalent of muscle memory. Like individual strikes and parries in swordsmanship, it isn't enough to just know how to look at a frozen situation and decide on an option - you can't effectively use that knowledge as long as it still requires any conscious thought. You're not ready to learn higher strategy until tactics no longer require any attention - you've "forgotten" about them. It translated better than Kokomi's "To survive hardship, you must prepare for hardship," which just didn't emerge into English in a form both quick enough to deliver and still very meaningful.

If you're lost an ally, then either you failed to protect them (in other words, either your basic combat ability or tactical skills weren't good enough) or you accepted their sacrifice for what turned out in the end to be a bad trade (so your strategic ability wasn't adequate). After all, if victory (I will not say "the battle" or "the war" because it isn't always about winning those) really wasn't achievable with what you had, you shouldn't have lost anybody in combat - combat was a wrong choice to start with. "Was it worth it?" is a question that will haunt any commander who's been in a fight. lot of Jing Yuan's mentorship to Yanqing seems to be carrying the message of "assess your situation and recall your goals before you pick a fight". In contrast, for all that he's happy to ensure Fu Xuan has to deal with all the paperwork and most of the local fallout from it, he doesn't hesitate to let somebody whose day job is looking ahead past the immediate consequences lead his troops in his absence.

"Overworlder" isn't really a slur. Belobog is divided into 2 parts: overworld (the upper part, on the surface) and underworld (underground, where all mining and industrial manufacturing is located). There's been a lot of animosity between the two parts (for reasons I won't spoil here), so people from different sides don't always see eye to eye. Seele is from the underworld, while Bronya is an overworlder. Sort of. It's actually more complicated (again, spoilers).

I do though like how they made Seele and Bronya pretty much have Vi and Caitlyn dynamic exactly from League (Arcane). I like Seele for the same, she’s badass. I like kafka a lot because… well… you can guess. But also such a badass. And I like Silverwolf just cause a fun personality, obvi woag gamer, but I like how she literally just gives no F’s and everythings just a game. If’s fun.

Very light spoilers, trying to keep it still vague: To keep the guardian stuff secret. It's fine and I don't hate if people disagree and like the path they choose more, but I just wish they gave an option for some split story. I hated that forced choice so much, it almost dropped Seele a bit for me and almost made me completely dislike Bronya, but that was just in the moment. I still have Seele as peak and still like Bronya.

Hmm, interesting question. xD I would actually maybe put Natasha on the keys. The chillness of it seems to suit her and I could imagine her knowing how to play it for the kids. Himeko and Bronya would be my other choices for Keys. I agree on Himeko, and I feel like this would only make sense for Bronya to actually know since most secluded/“rich” anime characters are at least taught piano. I imagine bronya wouldn’t even know how to hold anything else. But they both feel also like spectators to something like this, who would love to support in the crowd, so I got Natasha mainly here. I like Stelle alot on Drums. Haha. That does weirdly make sense. A band usually has 2 guitarists, the lead and rhythm. Sometimes the lead is also the singer. I give the lead guitarist to Seele as well. It really does suit her, and I imagine her being able to also sing some rock songs sometimes, but mainly the guitar part. And a good rhythm guitarist.. not many choices left, but I think Sushang could work! She’s very motivated and eager to learn, so I feel like she would be willing to be a backup to Seele and put her heart in learning. I actually think Lynx could work on bass. Kinda cheating xD But As Serval’s sister and Pela’s friend, it obviously makes sense for her to have some musical knowledge. And I feel like her being more lowkey and wanting out of the spotlight and thus being the bass to serval’s guitar story-wise makes a lot of sense. My secondary choice would be Silverwolf (I know you said no villains but she’s not *really that* much a villain, literally just in it for the “game”.) and I just feel it suits her gaming attitude. Then for overall singer, I think a couple work here. Mainly following your same outgoing condition. Being Guinaifen and March 7th. Both feel lively! Sorry for the long messages. xD Its fun to think about these things

I know it's a big ask but there is a game BEFORE Genshin that has just simply AMAZING animated shorts. "Honkai Impact 3rd" is the name and yes Star Rail is linked to it. Those animations are the conclusions of huge story arcs, but are on their own amazing stories in of themselves. PS. Hoyo does not claim their songs on youtube. Not so fun fact: Imbibitor Lunae is currently the only character in honkai and genshin combined (obviously not from genshin but if we join them together) to be a criminal that actually technically isn't. His previous incarnation was a criminal banished from the xianzhou. And is let back in as Dan Heng. We also don't know how to have his IL ability activate outside of being STABBED by Blade during the story.

1. The trailers do kind of spoil some of the fun of getting introduced to the game. 2. This game is much easier to get into than genshin, simpler, less gacha indulging required, insane story and themes fit into such short quests. 3. Honkai star rail can be more fun than genshin for a lot of people, and I definitely recommend others to experience it for at least the first two main quests, its more than an animeish gacha game.

I cannot recommend the Honkai Impact 3rd PVs enough. They combine the version and character trailers, because back then they didn't have the budget for separate trailers. _Honkai Impact 3rd_ was released in 2016 as a mobile game. It has a PC port, but does not have an EN dub if that matters to you. Oh, and Mihoyo doesn't do copyright claims. Himeko from _HSR_ has a suitcase cutter and an orbital satellite canon, and drinks coffee. Murata Himeko from _HI3_ wields a greatsword, and drinks beer. But both are Fire. BTW, the Pyro Archon is called 'Murata,' so all Captains expect to see Himeko again in _Genshin_ too, in Natlan.

[sigh] The only reason Silver Wolf would lose against a Titan is because she decided to challenge that stupid stage from Abyss that starts HP draining if you don't clear fast enough, and she restricted herself to basic attacks. That _might_ explain why she only loses HP off-screen. And she had Weapon Skill and Ult up. You do not not use them when they're up, although Haxxor Bunny is mostly off-field support anyway. I don't know why she'd be playing that stage of Abyss either, since she'd have a max-level account in _HI3_ . Oh, and since you like mechs, Bronya Zaychik has a mech. Bronie's mechs are called Seekers. Bronya's is Project Bunny 19C.

this turn based game is so good you can play 100% f2p + when you start the game you get up to 80 pulls for free long with roughly another 300 + pulls just from playing the game every day you get 60 steller jades from daile's what is currency to do pulls with every major patch they give you 10 pulls as well + another 2000 or so for every event the star rail team want to give there fans the best exp they feel they deserve

Im guessing a lot of the characters, especially the men from the Xianzhou. Have long hair because MiHoyo is a Chinese company and The Xianzhou has a traditional Chinese aesthetic. In the earlier times of China, both men and women had primarily long hair.
