The reason you didn't know about Shannen Doherty's red hair is that it's dyed. She was meant to dye it blonde to match the other two Heathers, but she wouldn't, so they let her dye it red. It seems to have started a tradition in the musical, too, where Heather Duke has dark hair and Chandler and McNamara are fair. In my fanfics, I tend to write Chandler as a strawberry-blonde, McNamara as golden-blonde and Duke as dark-haired. Veronica is always a brunette, no matter what. Funnily enough, I did write a fanfic using characters from a different fandom, and the girl standing in for Heather Chandler had gorgeous long black hair, while the Heather Duke character had shoulder-length brown hair. Needless to say, the red scrunchie didn't quite look as good on her.

@Lo0serx3 Total Drama. Heather Duke was played by Courtney. Unfortunately, it was after the reboot and a lot of people pointed out that Julia would have been a better choice, but I'd had this idea back in January before the reboot aired. Ironically, Julia took the minor role of Country Club Courtney.

Spent the next several years on a mission to get the whole thing on videotape. That's a story in and of itself. Love hearing people's thoughts on it, whether serious or mocking or somewhere in between. The girl you said had an amazing face but you didn't recognize? That was Kim Walker. Sadly, she died of a brain tumor young, several years after that famous line of hers about a brain tumor for breakfast. She played the Heather who died. I only know her from this movie.

I’m technically “too young to watch this movie” but I know that the musical justifies some stuff, (I think) and I feel like it justifies some of the suicide. Like the one song “shine a light, reprise” is heather duke telling heather Mc (or Mac I dont remember) to kill herself. and it could be seen as ‘unnecessary’ but I think in modern day it really lines up with people or yourself saying “you should kill yourself,” and “you don’t deserve the dream” and then you try to do it, and then that ONE person OR thing that saved you, aka, Veronica.
