Yes. Skipping school was illegal if I’m not mistaken, parents could get in trouble for it. They used to have truancy officers who’s job was to catch the kids skipping school.

Bishop father got raped in jail . Bishop was teased about this his whole life and it turned him crazy. The first ending of this movie was bishop purposely let go of bruh hand cuz he ain’t wanna get raped in jail like his pops

That, to me, would've been a better ending and more consistent with his character progression! But, yeah, that would drive anyone crazy.
