This movie is absolutely beautiful. I love the creative ways it explains the afterlife, the "beforelife", and being in the zone. And more than that, I love the message of it all. Life isn't about what you were "born to do" or finding your purpose, because nobody really has one. Life is about living it to the fullest, really enjoying it, doing what makes you happy. And it's a beautiful message indeed.

Neat little thing you could miss: When Joe shows 22 his memories, there's one where he's sitting in a diner with a piece of pie, looking dejected, making you think it's a sad memory. But when Joe's at the piano and we see that montage of memories, we see the diner scene again, and we find out it was actually a happy memory, despite not starting out so great. It's like the hockey memory in Inside Out. It started off sad, but because of her friends and the team, it turned happy.

Thank you so much on reacting this movie Rukiya, it’s Without a doubt Pixar’s most beautiful and impactful films and I love the message that the film and director Pete Docter conveys on the importance on valuing and enjoying life around you which is what Joe and soul 22, especially the former experienced and learn throughout the film. My favorite moments were the scene when 22 in Joe’s body asked the Barber on why he ended up taking this job as a Barber over a veterinarian which was the film's turning point for Joe to realize on appreciating life around you and being happy with what you love doing. Another was when Joe was looking at the various items that 22 in Joe’s body collected from such as the seed, the lollipop and the various scenes of Joe’s life with the music playing had me in tears.

I LOVE this film! My Dad even got emotional watching this, and he’s your regular ole macho Hispanic man. I love that the ending is ambiguous on what Joe decided to do. Did he go back to teaching? Did he go back to Dorothy? Did he figure out a way to do both? Or maybe neither? It’s kinda implied that he is happy with any choice listed above, kind of how our lives could be meaningful no matter what we choose to do.

I can wholeheartedly relate to the looming anxieties of death. I think I also avoided this movie for a while because of it. I also avoided other things that related to death like listening to true crime and creepy horror stories and shows and movies talking about death. It's something that haunted the later half of my childhood which looking back is really sad that a kid would have those kinds of dark thoughts. I still have the occasional panic attack over it but it's gotten better. Anyways, I say all that to say that you're not alone and neither is anyone else who has these types of anxieties and panic attacks. ❤🙏

I relate to that too. It’s not that intense for me, but the fear of death and the unknown that comes with it is definitely part of my biggest fear or basically the rout of all fears I have. The problem for me is that the other part is the fear of life (and the suffering that comes with it) which sounds crazy but it is the flip side of my fear of death. In that sense I really relate to 22. All of my other fears can pretty much be traced back to those two. Like for example I am/was really scared of serious illnesses, both because of the symptoms and suffering that comes with them and because they might be fatal. Also the notion of su1cide used to evoke strong anxiety in me, because it’s pretty much both fears combined in the most powerful way. The thought that life might become so unbearable that you might choose death instead. I‘ve gotten way more comfortable with these thoughts though a part of the fear still remains. I guess that’s normal though, you never completely get rid of your fears but you learn to live with them

I don't know how Pete Docter was able to do it, but he finds new ways to impress me in such a great way. This just shows why we love Pixar so much. They always know how to entertain us with concepts that no other studio would think of and that truly is a tribute to their talents.

Another big thing: Joe was in the zone when he was auditioning, but not when he was actually performing. Meaning even though he was on point and didn't miss a single note, he wasn't actually enjoying himself.
@olgabutorina415611 ай бұрын
No, he just needed to be concentrated. When he was "in the zone" he wasn't concentrate As an artist I know how it feels. And for me concentrated drawing way more satisfying than "drawing whatever your heart desires". When I draw something I really want here and now, my wish will dissapear after 15-20 minutes and I suddenly understand that I don't really want and need to draw this thing.... But when I draw something with purpose and goal, I can dedicate myself to finish the work

i’m a musician and that’s not really how it works. i can be “in the zone” per se and not be doing well or not enjoying my performance. also kind of hard to be actively working and getting better at your craft if you aren’t focused and in the moment. muscle memory only works when your muscles were trained to do the right things

I was raised Christian too, but after a lot of stuff that happened, I despise everything to do with religion. I kinda ignored everything to do with meaning of life and death. But I remember watching a video, if nothing has meaning, if everything you do and happens is meaningless, then everything matters equally, you can enjoy life and just live, your mistakes don't matter, and the people in your life, your close ones, your dreams, it all matters as much as you want them to. It's about enjoying life and making the most of it, if there's nothing afterwards, then it's like a book, it began and it finished, what happens in between is for you to write.

This movie hit home for me too Rukiya. The message is so deep and beautiful. Just live life. It is good enough and you are good enough ❤😊 Ik love in the end he says: "I'm gonna live every minute of it" not "Im gonna enjoy every minute of it". Ask yourself the question: what sparks my fire? And do that. Because when you do what you love, you're gonna love what you're doing. Thank you for sharing your story and be vulnerable enough to let us see a glimpse of your own struggles. Because...we all struggle in our own ways and its good to show it, so we can support each other and grow together 🙏❤✨️

Yep, it's a pretty emotional movie, so I would recommend that you watch a Disney movie called The Wild if you have time?

Hey Rukiya, I'm abit new to your channel,and I ofcourse love it already as much as I love your character and who you are too,and although I'm late to this video, I just wanted to say,you are truly one of this world's strongest woman I've ever seen,and I can not be more proud and happy to see you stick to the end of this movie, regardless of your condition,and I'm sure your role model to many females for that even to a guy like me🙏🏾❤
