There’s some point in the book where she asks why Ethan doesn’t have a southern accent or something and he talks about how his mom was an English major or something and wasn’t from there or something??? OMG sameeee!!! The books were writen by two women and they lowkey talk shit about the other girls being bitches and Lena being SO special and different bc she wears black eyeliner I was like----
@that_snkfan1394 жыл бұрын
But that's the entire reason Ethan fell in love with her. It's clear in the book that he's fed up with the small town he lives in because everyone behaves the same way. Let's be honest here, most people (especially teenagers) are trend followers. Like, if people could just man up and admit to what they like the world would be 99% a better place. Since Emily and Savannah are the top girls it's clear most other girls would want to be like them to achieve popularity. And since Ethan actually went on a date with Emily and found out it was horrible, it makes sense why he wouldn't want to go out with a girl who's similar. The entire point of a main character or love interest is that they are NOT supposed to be like the rest. Because then what makes them stand out from the crowd? If Lena was like them Ethan never would've never been interested. But since Lena is well-travelled and obviously has a very different familial background than those girls, she's naturally different. Also let's take into account that when you're in love with someone you probably do put them on a pedestal and write cringey description of them. They're teenagers. As for them shit talking the other girls, THEY LITERALLY TRIED TO GET HER EXPELLED BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED SHE WAS A SATANIST. They literally bullied poor Lena because of some petty jealousy. If someone did that to me I'd do more than shit talk. What I don't like about Lena is her constant pessimism though. I don't like how overly emo she is at times and cannot ever take a joke. It's always the negativity with her and it's like she's gonna burst out crying any minute. That's why I liked Ridley more, she was just misunderstood.

raebele I read the first book “Beautiful Creatures”. They butchered the whole book. Although the book is focused more on the relationship of the two, it still has some good ass scenes (especially the tornado in the house scene, which they also butchered). I remember in the book when ever they kissed, Ethan would have this immense power surging through him, searing into his flesh, it was painful but he doesn’t care. I mean the book is thicc. It’s about 500 to 600 pages. They didn’t do the book any justice at all.

*Please react to The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie!! Consider it maybe, Trin? lmao* *EDIT:* As someone who's read the books, the movie does a much better job at representing the story and giving off an accurate aesthetic (compared to the show). If you do decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy it :)) ❤ However, be prepared to laugh at the guy who plays Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower) bc omg wtf like it's so weird that he played one of the crusty Volturi guys from Twilight 😂😂 *EXTRA EDIT:* for those who have read the books, what do you think of my fancast? 😂 Clary - Lily Collins (movie) Jace - Alex Pettyfer Simon - Robert Sheehan (movie) Isabelle - Crystal Reed Alec - the ultimate babe Matthew Daddario (show) Magnus - Godfrey Gao (movie) Valentine - Jonathan Rhys Meyers (movie) Sebastian/Jonathan - Lucky Blue Smith Jocelyn - Lena Headey (movie) Luke - Aiden Turner (movie) I actually have a video on my channel about a complete fancast if anyone wants to check it out :)))
