The queen is back🥰 2:25 The screen gives me Sims 2 beta bodyshop vibes, when you had 3/4 Sims in a “stage” I like it because it feels more personal, it’s the Sims 3 start menu on steroids(but is just a screen like it’s still the sims 4). Overall I really agree w you, I think they’re trying to make us forget about Sims 2 & 3 because they’re the main menace with better gameplay(and some crucial features like memories or open world, create a style), and making Sims 1 & 4 look like the only existing Sims game instead, highlighting reaaaally superficial stuff like the Goth family, the freezer bunny or the simlish stuff which ends up being really tired and cringy.

I'm so sick of them having the host talk to the viewer like we're 4 year olds. Note, I don't blame the actress/hostess herself, she's being given the direction to do so. They style the set as a kids show too, so I doubt the tone comes from her. I only see people complaining about this the past year or two though, when this has been the thing for way longer. I thought I was the only one bothered by this since I saw no one else saying anything 🥴

Sadest part is, EA themselves have a collection for the sims 1 and the sims 2 on their store. It's actually made and the reason nobody has them is because they were a limited time free collection for a previous anniversary. They could of given us those collections, or just 1 of them for this celebration and had to do literally nothing; since they work already but nope. I bet they don't even know they exist.

It feels so icky seeing those game changers stand side by side with the EA mouth-pieces. Especially the dude, since I've seen clips of him being pretty hostile to criticism of the game. Makes sense he'd be standing there. Lilsimsie meanwhile looking ambivalent, like she doesn't know whether she's happy, humbled, cringing or scared players are gonna call her a shill again.

Even simsie looks..nervous? Disappointed?? I can't place it. I remember when I was a kid and always wanting to play ts1 but i was too young. When I finally got the sims 2, i was obsessed. Hours and hours of playing with sims and doing all kinds of stuff to them well into ts3. When 4 came out i was...disappointed but still on board. And now... Well, it's clear these 25 years mean nothing to EA.

Let's be honest and say that live stream could have been in an email. The longest section of the video was the 60 second countdown haha. The only thing I was mildly intrigued was the lot refresh of the base game houses, but that was erm... 11 years too late?

Weird how they tried that before in thesims 1 era and it failed; then tried to do it again with (I think) the sims3 era and decided to just call it TheSims4 and remove the online stuff. Now they want to try a 3rd time. Either they forgot they did this 2 times before or they really REALLY want an online sims game.

This was a pretty underwhelming stream but my guess is they didn't want to reveal TOO much but still I mean they basically rushed through it and glossed over features. Oh well, at least the house refreshes are nice, in my personal opinion.

if you want a legit copy ebay can be much cheaper, if not theres always cracked versions just check for viruses. as someone who has physical disks, i still had to get some cracked files just to get the game to run on windows 10, since the launcher updates/patches are no longer supported lol

Why is Anyone still surprised with the level of The Sims team's greediness and callous attention to honoring the game franchise for the longtime fans. They haven't Actually cared for a Long time, even before TS4 was released. I've been a fan since day one in 2000. Of course it's insulting for The Sims community, but I'm used to the constant slap in the face from the thirsty af people behind the game these days. Nothing new, carry on. 🙄
