I usually boil the bow tie pasta 2 minutes short of al dente in a thick chicken stock broth. Drain then add equal amounts of melted butter and olive oil to absorb, and chopped garlic. Once cool add in course grated string and regular mozzarella and torn basil leaves. Add fresh ground pepper. Then layer like regular lasagna sheets. The cheese will bind pasta together in one entire pan layer.

I would love to see a class on the basics. I have a few bags of 00 I want to use. I have never seen orange/red yolks that didn’t involve fertilized eggs. All the eggs I buy here in the OC Ca have the pale yellow yolks.

Definitely try making lasagna with fresh pasta and when mom made it with fresh instead of dry pasta it was like 10-20x better, ricotta we don't got that but I think there is a substitute and issue with beschamel is it thickens the pasta when it cools down and kinda ruins the flavour. Imo make it meaty, saucy, cheesy and it's 10/10

I’ve always hated Béchamel sauce. I didn’t like that sweet taste. Idk if there is more then one type, im not a crazy experienced cook. I dabble for fun but that’s it. But I hate nutmeg…the first time I made it and tasted it it just was bleh. I made it for a burger sauce and I ate mine without. I put it in my husbands and he loved it. 🤷🏻♀️ I never knew it went in lasagna…
