Montana is so gorgeous! I want to go back! What a fun trip, the scenery shots made my day! You found some really cool examples in the stream, the wood will be beautiful polished as will the green one! You showed so much restraint in not collecting too much! 😀I always enjoy your videos and skills, thanks for sharing with us!!⚒😃👍

Gorgeous finds man!!! It was such a blast getting to hang out with you! I was so happy we got to sneak in one more hunt!(Even if i was hanging on by a thread🤣, it was certainly worth it!). Man i am so happy to see how nice that agatized wood turned out!!! That is SUCH a nice one!! The opalized wood out there is super strange, its not so much a 1:1 replacement like the agatized wood, its almost like a result of deterioration. The grain is very rarely still intact in the opalized stuff. Super strange material but absolutely gorgeous! Man it was a joy to get out with you! Already looking forward to the next time! Hopefully we can come to your neck of the woods next time 😁

Very cool seeing those monster pieces! I have an agate from Manitoba that looks almost identical to that last one! It has the little floater dendrites a plenty. Mark it off your bucket list, that must be a great feeling!

Montana pet wood sure takes an amazing polish! Now I think you need to add a part two to the Montana rock hounding experience. Sapphires and crystals! Lol! Like you needed an excuse to go back some day hey Jason😂. Crystal park is a fun place to dig let me tell ya! I’m heading across the border on Wednesday to go “mine” some sapphire. Have a good one Jason!

On your 1st piece: green wood, if you cut thinner slabs, wonder what is hidden beyond. Thanks for sharing. Many years ago, 1st Stone I ever cut was Pure luck in how I cut it across the middle of the 2" wide x 2.5" long x 1" (approx.) stone x 5-6 mm thick stone with some dendrites that I thought were mosses gave me a Full realistic scene of mesa in foreground with mesquite on foreground rock; looking across valley w/ low shrubs to mountains in background with possible snow or brook in crevise between 2 mountains; sky & clouds above. Not imaginery, But realistic!! Back side of stone, similar but Not the same because of slab cut. Awesome piece; ground, sanded, polished both sides. Made fine silver bezel-setting around stone w/open slightly raised open-back setting, so if pin is raised so light penetrates thru stone, either side, that realistic picture is Clearly seen from either side. Never saw another piece of Montana "moss" agate like this one, ever. Just Beginner's Luck, I guess!!!. Still have it & occasionally wear it!

Glad u were able to go for work and still have fun rock hounding. I wish we had rocks like u guys have in Nova Scotia. I'm in Ontario Canada but we don't get much this way. I have to drive atleast 2 hours to find some decent fossils etc and Lake Huron has great rocks for us. I have Montana as a bucket list location too and Oregon. Great rocks and nice to see Theo and you hanging out!
