Solo night skating is one of the most therapeutic things of all time. Skate on brother. I feel this

I’ve been tempted to go to my all night street spot alone a few times. But it’s nice to have a few skaters along with me so I can count on a rescue if I hurt myself.

Dude, love the message. I wish I grew up with friends like you but grateful you put content out like this for yourself and everyone here. I feel like I’ve hit my quarter life moment of questioning everything and trying to to navigate how to leave my draining work and fill with with things actually love like spending time with family and not stressing about work projects, skating to good music and making art. Anyway..you’re an awesome human dude… i wish you the best in everything you’re doing 🤙🏽

I felt this message. Work is SO draining but SUCH a necessity. Many times have I screamed at my steering wheel out of pure frustration. Working in management learning that all the work I do is for the benefit of a company that doesn't care about me. A company that will take me out for ANYBODY Willing to help customers. Employees showing up for a paycheck not for the benefit of the team. The BIGGEST thing I learned is. I AM ME. I AM DIFFERENT. I am meant to CREATE. I'm not meant for this 9-5.

Dude holy fuck we are in the same position. I have been so fucking confused for the past 6 months. I recently picked up skating again, started reading more books, been doing a lot of painting. I just broke up with my gf of 3 years because I felt like she was holding me back. I lost my job 8 months ago and havent had consistent work since. Not because Im unemployable, but because its soul sucking. I worked construction for 4 years and thought it was my career. I worked 40-60 hours a week, its labor, so i get home completely swamped and had no energy for anything except tv, xbox, weed, and cigs. I was dead but breathing. Since I got fired, I have been much happier and motivated to use what precious time we have in this life for me. Of course im in lala land, i owe like 10 grand in loans and unsettled debt. My electricity got turned off 2 weeks ago and my toilet flushes with a bucket. I feel so free, I am trying to experiment with living outside and only off the essentials; food, water, shelter- whilst entertaining myself with what I mentioned in the first paragraph. Its very unconventional, and I question myself everyday but i have no other options besides getting a job.. what a drag

I love night skating, though for me it is mostly cruising streets and hills (I'm generally pretty terrible/beginner, but I love being on my board). Going out for night skates has helped keep me in a happier space during our recent COVID lockdown period. Shot out around midnight on Mon/Tue this week and cruised 4 new mild suburban hills. So nice.

Loved this night session video. I've slowly started skating again after 20 years (I'm 33 now) and your videos have been hugely inspiring. There's definitely a heightened sense of fear and responsibility at this age (being a dad and all) which keeps me from getting all my old tricks back as quickly as I'd like, but my wife got me a PD/KR Slap Pad for my birthday and it's been a blast. So thank you for that as well!
@robertborden26663 жыл бұрын
I’m like you, but add 10 years to the 20 off. But approaching 45 I am skating with an urgency to progress while my body and lifestyle still allow it. I have to be smart about what I try for the same reasons (breadwinner) but I’m compelled to battle tricks and try new stuff. I have to give myself permission to plow through. It’s teaching me things about myself I never would have known otherwise. Keep at it!
