I Went To California To Visit The TaylorMade Kingdom - VLOG #12

In Gabby's VLOG #12 she flies all the way to California for the week! First she heads to Westlake Village, California, for a golf lesson with the renowned George Gankas. Ranked as the 18th best golf coach by Golf Digest, George is considered one of the best in the world. Heads to a Clippers VS Oklahoma City Basketball game. The next day she films a video with Erin Lim Rhodes interviewer, presenter, and E!'s The Rundown host! A apparel brand meeting later that day, had dinner in Calabasas. Then left at 4:30 am to drive from Westlake Village to Laguna Beach, CA. Met up with her Grandparents who flew in just to see the Kingdom. Filmed a golf 1 v 1 against a Division 1 golfer! On the on the final day visited the TaylorMade kingdom and had a fitting with Trottie! She gives you a full behind-the-scenes look into the Kingdom!

Gabby I love your channel! I am new to golf. My husband bought me the TaylorMade stealth driver and I only had it a month (and did not even use it that much since I am a beginner....) It totally cracked out the back. When I took it back to Golf Galaxy where I bought it they said this happens often...not good...so they sent it back to TaylorMade...Golf Galaxy said that they will replace it 3 times and then I am out...not happy!!!! Still love your channel.........

Carlsbad has TaylorMade, Cobra, and Calloway HQ there. All are near the airport, and the city's golf course called The Crossings at Carlsbad. Cobra use to be located just off I-805, not far from the I-5 interchange. I think they were the first ones to put rails on the bottom of the metal woods. I still have my TaylorMade tour cleeks which are awesome on courses with dry grass, or not maintained well. Works well in California because we often have drought conditions. Probably something Floridians are not worried about.

I was very surprised to hear that you had never had a fitting prior to this video. I am a mid 80's + handicap and have the last two sets fitted. You will see a difference after a few rounds and you will say to your self OHHHHH now I see. Good luck with your new clubs.

Gabriella, There are some great courses in Palm Springs. However, other courses in the near area such as Torrey Pines (both courses) and others are well worth playing. If you can get up into the Monterey, Ca area there is Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill, Poppy Hills, Spanish Bay, Bayonet (one of Tiger's and my favorites), Pasatiempo, etc. There are many more great courses as you go farther north both in the Bay Area and in the Sacramento Area. Even Tahoe seems to be getting more good to great courses. You might want to try to play a few. Some have excellent drainage. Also the more northern courses probably are not suffering as much from the drastic flooding that Southern California seems to be suffering from now. I have even heard Las Vegas has been having flooding problems. Best Wishes Gabriella. Hopefully you will love some of the golf available in California and Nevada. Then there is always Oregon and Washington with such treats as Bandon Dunes, etc.

Gabby travels just like I did when I was sixteen... Four Seasons, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, private lesson with "George," Valet parking at an NBA game, a quick trip to Laguna Beach with a stay at the Ritz-Carlton, then a trip to the Taylor Made Kingdom for a full bag fitting, yup, just like I remember doing at her age....lol (I'd love to have a contest to see who could come closest to the total dollars spent on this trip....lol)

Many years ago when Mark King was still the CEO of TaylorMade, the TaylorMade Tour Van stopped at the Champions Golf Club in Houston. Each year Champions held a tournament for amateurs. Members and tournament players had access TaylorMade tour staff who would build any clubs we wanted. Each year I had them build me the newest driver. All the club heads were marked with a tour "T" serial number. Learning all the trade secrets of how the Tour players are supported was very interesting. I still own these custom Tour drivers and 3 woods. I remain a TaylorMade customer to this day.
