Avenue used to have their own stores. They were comparable in price to Lane Bryant. My husband always loved shopping there for me because they dependably fit me. (XL-1X) A new shirt at Avenue could run $40-50. I have a cardigan my husband bought for me that I know he paid around $100 for. They closed their stores and are now strictly online. I have two brand new shirts in my closet right now I paid $20 each for that were in the clearance section of their website. I wear Avenue undergarments every day also.

I have been shocked lately over Wal Mart clothes! While going through the racks at Goodwill, I go a lot by feel. I’ve pull several garments off the rack because the material felt like quality and they were Wal Mart brands
@mr.chipwhitley8770 Жыл бұрын
Agreed! Walmart has really stepped up their game in the clothing department, especially for women's and junior's clothing. I think they finally caught on that they have to catch up with the times and match the popular styles now. Their prices on clothing have increased significantly, though, but I think it reflects in the better quality now. BEFORE I know how everyone talked smack about Walmart clothing and how "old fashioned" it was. Much different times now!

Wow, some great finds!! You've really been an inspiration to me in starting my ebay store. I have only been open a couple weeks and sold several items. I wish you would do a video on how you prepare clothes for resale. Do you wash all of the clothing, how about the ones with tags? Also, what do you do with items like wool blazers or angora sweaters, do you actually pay to have them dry cleaned before selling them? This part of the process is somewhat of a mystery to me. Obviously, jeans, sweatshirts and tshirts are easy because you can just wash and dry them, but there are lots of things I'm just not sure how to prepare them to sel or ship.

Karen has made videos about preparing her clothing for sale. A lot of times she provides this information in her pull & ship videos. I know she does not wash new with tag items, but I am pretty sure she launders & steams most everything else. Her inventory system is the best I’ve seen. Most everything is packed in plastic bags prior to putting them in her inventory. I’ve never seen a reseller take such good care of the items purchased. Of course, I am just a long time viewer & am just sharing what I have seen in her videos in the past, Karen probably has a lot more to say on this topic 😊

Avenue was an independent plus size clothes store similar to Lane Bryant, except often lower quality fabrics used compared to LB. I did shop there, as their sizing fit me better than LB. I just tried to choose their higher quality looking items. Several years ago they closed their storefronts and went solely online as far as I am aware. It seemed their pricing increased near the end, so shopping sales became even more important.
