i've so many things to say, but first off, I'M SO FREAKIN PROUD OF YOUUUUU! as a long-time follower, i know you've been battling anxiety since forever and as a fellow anxious girlie, i get it, and i'm so so so proud to see you step out of your comfort zone to make a dream come true! we live in a terrifying world, everything is so scary, but we gotta resist the fear cause sometimes it stops us from experiencing such beautiful things... i'm so glad Paris happened to you! secondly, as a European subscriber (idk if you have a lot of us, i presume most people here are American?), i know exactly what you mean about Europe being romantic... and it's not just France either, but France IS so beautiful. i hope someday you get to go to Switzerland and Germany, and Italy, and even the UK, or up in Norway and just get to experience a bit more of this old world romantic beauty you seem to enjoy so much because it's so so so worth it! i've been to North America and i'm in AWE of nature there, but almost everything feels so new (like, old things are only 100 years old, you know. i'm exaggerating, i know there's stuff older than 100 years.), and that's another kind of beauty, but Europe has so much nostalgia, so many hues, it's for old souls, for the pensive, sensitive people, i don't know how else to put it. and about the caps - i laughed so much when you started talking about them :D that's a law all across the EU to prevent the caps from being lost because they're a major component of littering, but also the plastic used in the caps is better quality than the bottles themselves, and having the cap attached ensures that both kinds get recycled (i.e., that people don't lose the more important and much more prone to flying off component). but as someone who's been dealing with that daily for a few years, it annoys me because you kinda have to hold down the cap when you drink or it hits your nose and it kinda makes sth as simple as taking a sip of water seem so complicated lmao BUT it's a good thing for reducing litter and improving recycling rates~ also, when you said you were an "old, washed-up youtuber" ... girl, don't break my heart! i'm the same age as you and i've been watching you since i was in college. i know content creation gets exhausting but even if you give up on makeup and such, and just hang around for kat chats and storytime, i'd keep watching you forever because you've been part of my life longer than some friends and lovers. also, even though i'm right there with you on the rhys hype train, i have been meaning to read Anna and the French Kiss forever just because of you (i love high school romance novels) and even though i'm in my 30s already, i might just do it because this entire experience reminded me i should. :) ALSO!!! for the third time. i wasn't looking at stories cause i was busy when the olympics started but i was watching the swimming with my family one day and you know how they cut to the audience sometimes, and they cut to YOU! and i was like "OMG! i know that girl in the audience, she's a youtuber!" i mean, ofc i don't know-know you, but i was just watching TV and the cut was like 3 seconds, i did NOT expect to recognize anyone in the audience, and then i was like "omg wow, Kathleen got on a plane! and came to PARIS!!!" and then i checked on IG to make sure it was you. but it was so, so funny to me that that's how i found out you were there :D anyway, again, so happy for you! i hope you can continue making your dreams come true, you deserve it! sorry for the essay, just this whole thing of you being in Paris made me really emotional TT

After all this time, it just feels so much sweeter! I am so happy for you! I was so happy to see you there after all these years following you all the way from Mississippi to Paris! FINALLY!! I remember you opening up about wanting to travel but just you anxiety wouldn’t let you. I remember hoping that one day you would be able to travel one day and here you are. It’s absolutely amazing and inspiring. I remember telling myself I would travel all of the time and my top place has been Paris, as well, unfortunately I got really sick with so many different chronic and terminal illnesses, so I’m can’t travel and not sure if I’ll be able to before I leave. It just made me so happy to watch this and hear you talk about Paris bc it felt like we were thee with you and we all know how hard it has been for you to travel in the past and now just seeing you travel and go out and live your life is amazing and makes me so so happy.

Anxiety is horrible, I know how debilitating it can be. I'm so happy and proud of you for going through this journey, and seeing how much you loved Paris and even envisioning going back. You gotta do what you did, and push through the anxiety attacks the nervousness and just do it. I have horrible, horrible fear of the dentist and I cried the first four times I went but I went and I sat there and went through with it. Now, it's (almost) a breeze, I still have my nervousness but it's gone from 100 to 3 percent. Can't wait for your next trip to Paris :)

OMG, I am SO proud of you! As another person who struggles with anxiety (travel, crowds, public transportation, etc.), I am so so impressed that you went! And I’m SO glad that you were able to fulfill one of your dreams. ❤ In the past, when I’ve done something that would normally scare the crap out of me, other things I’ve been anxious about don’t seem nearly as scary. Maybe that will be true for you too. I mean, you WENT TO PARIS!! Girl, you can do anything!

I have been watching your videos for eight years now. I found you on KZbin when I was exploring makeup and learning what contour was and how to apply eyeshadow. watching your videos always brought me some sense of security when I went through really bad anxiety episodes were I seem to let it stop me from living my life. You traveling and really coming out of your shell makes me so happy for you. I remember when I started to not let my anxiety prevent me from living my life now there are things that I won’t do because of my anxiety but seeing you travel has really opened my mind to traveling.
