The Japanese are well known for being two faced and polite when it's deemed necessary to be formal.
@KenKobayashiRasmussen4 жыл бұрын
Much of Japanese food culture was inspired by other countries traditions, taken to Japan and remade into what suits the Japanese pallet. Japanese curry (India, The Uk) tempura (Portugal) Ramen (China) and so on. It is only natural for the Japanese to se their own food culture be changed and return to Japan. Many people don’t know this part of Japanese history.
@KenKobayashiRasmussen4 жыл бұрын
D D Wow, your comment is very negative. Just because people do not see the world like you do, does not mean that their view of the world is wrong and yours is correct. To think that, is quite ignorant and childish and this mindset is the cause of many wars. The Japanese do not act as individuals as we do in the west, they are part of a unit, they go out of their way not to create friction within the group. This is not two faced in Japan it’s called respect.
@imnotimportant4 жыл бұрын
The Japanese as a whole are a very polite people. If he just stopped random people walking by to try it, I don't think he would have gotten anything but that they like it even if they didn't. I've had a few friends from Japan who told me that they like American style sushi better than sushi back home. One even said she never really went out for sushi in Japan because she disliked it so much, but frequently went for sushi in America. Japanese cuisine is heavily about bringing out the natural flavors of key ingredients, while American cuisine is about the ensemble -- the flavor that can only be created by combining the ingredients together. That said, we *do* love our sauces.
