@danieltaylor41854 жыл бұрын
Well, wasabi isn't so much "spicy" as it is "pungent". In the amounts that come in things like sushi by default, you usually don't get that burning sensation in your nose. I've read in numerous places that most people in Japan don't like wasabi in the amount that burns your nose - I can't confirm because I don't live there, but that seems to be the consensus from the people that have. I imagine it's a lot like the way we in the US would use horseradish. Although, if you're looking for places that do have a lot of spicy food, you're thinking of Thailand and India. Thailand's most popular foods are stir-fry dishes, usually involving Thai Chilis in some form, and India has many spicier dishes, such as curries and chilis.

As a Mexican American who grew up in a Mexican home with only Mexican food and snacks, I can assure you most of these foods are acquired tastes (with the exception of go-gurt). I remember trying all these foods for the first time because of my friends and HATING them. I only grew to like them because I was exposed to them time and time again. Now nothing sounds as comforting as sitting down with a bag of hot cheetos and a Twinkie. Except for Dr.Pepper. I hated dr.pepper for most of my life until I got a craving for something extremely sweet one day and my sister had some in the fridge. I drank it and then just started liking it from there. Now I’m in Japan and when I don’t like something, I try it again a few months later to see if it’s also an acquired taste. Many things are and I’ve also grown to like food here I didn’t like at first.

Crystal Hernandez I think the main problem with these types of videos is most American brands are worldwide like Coca-cola, McDonald’s, Hershey, Reese’s, you know the things people actually snack on here. So they have to resort to exclusively American snacks which is why on these video you’ll most likely see Twinkies, twizzlers, pop tarts, flaming hot Cheetos, and other things Americans don’t actually eat that often.
