For real - politicians need to get serious about working together to actually fix the problems in this country. I’m sick of seeing open air drug use, tent cities, people struggling to pay bills, everything in stores locked up due to retail theft, starter homes over half a million dollars, excessive taxes that don’t seem to make anyone’s lives better, etc. etc. These corrupt idiots all make $180,000/year or more to solve problems, yet they’re not doing it. Both parties suck, and very few politicians actually care enough to help the common folk.

My wife recently became a Fox News addict and major Trump supporter. She’s an immigrant from Brazil. She is USA all the way. I always vote conservative, but I try to stay out of the hard-core stuff. I came home yesterday, and there was a big box from Amazon on our front porch. It was full of Trump Paraphernalia. She bought Trump and Melania salt and pepper shakers, a T-shirt for me to wear on the inauguration, a welcome mat for our front door, flags we can fly in front of our house, stickers for our car, pillows for our sofa, and even a blanket for when we get cold that has “Trump 2024” on it. When she’s asleep tonight, I am going to take her credit card out of her wallet and keep it in a safe and hidden spot. She claims that this cheap tchotchke is going to be valuable someday. Right. In 200 years it might be worth a cup of coffee.
