@@Jacob-xm9hf Not really. She is rumored to have Viridesent Venerir skills, meanwhile the 5.0 artifact set gives Kazuha skills to any Natlan character. She kinda like to inverse of Kazuha, where the characters kit and artifact abilities have been swapped.

a lot of them are honestly pretty doable. The hydro and dendro totem bosses are prolly the hardest imo. The former cause I have no idea how anyone would beat that thing without ayaka or wriothesley and the latter cause it's just such a hp sponge and you're expected to no-hit it.

@@thegreatBarbossa Nope. The hardest one by far is the fatui trio. For the dendro one you just use Neuvillette circle around it while doing charged attacks. The hydro you can use kaeya skill only for first phase shield and kaeya skills and burst for second phase shield, its honestly very easy. Now the final achivement on the fatui trio... Thats something else...

@@Sillysillywithpearls I think its better to group them together.. At least thats how i managed to beat them.. Grouped them up used kazuha to destroy electro and cryo shields by swirling pyro of of the gunner and then used furina and Neuvillette to destroy pyro shield and zhonglis burst to keep them grouped and immobile while doing dmg with Neuvillette.. But even with all that it took like 15 attempts to get the third achievement..

The only reason I havent pulled mualani is that I really want Xilonen. And now I'm honestly thinking I might just leave the bulk of natlan exploration for after she comes out because the overworld experience on the new characters just looks like a ton of fun so far!

There's a huge mountain that can be seen from the springs and a valley just west of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, flanked by tall and thin mesa walls. Satellite maps also show a ruined city further north, so far that it cannot be seen from the accessible areas of Natlan. There's a lot of toppled obsidian pillars near it too. That city might be Ochkanatlan, the former capital of the nation.

I think western audiences are more used to the style of music that fontaine has compared to sumeru and natlan. Probably a contributing factor to why people might not love the fontaine ost as much as the others. I think it's amazing, I still remember watching the symphony performance video right before 4.0 came out and just freaking out about how good it sounded. Granted I also did that last week for natlan lol

I absolutely LOVE fontaine OST. the recent hate makes no sense to me because it was such a bop! especially the OST surrounding neuvillettes office and the opera epiclese. Natlan just builds on this :)

I agree with your opinion that Natlan feels like Genshin has made a huge step forward in terms of region design. So far, Natlan's region is the MOST FUN to travel around. And it's not complete yet. I think it's because of the Natlan characters and their unique mechanics. And every single Natlan character will have one. Usiing Mualani and Kuchina actually made me reduce how much I used my Wanderer in Natlan. That impressed me given how much I use him everywhere else. While I do think Fontaine's underwater exploration is one of the smoothest I've played...Everyone swam the same. Fontaine characters added some passives, can do fancy jumps, and can have Arkhe alignments naturally. But that's it. None of them had unique ways of swimming or made swimming feel any different than a non-Fontaine character. But Natlan? Everyone is different and meant for different types of terrains. I'm having so much fun with Mualani that I am now looking forward to how future characters travel around.

@@someoneinasia Genuinely though. Hoyo has never made so many updates along with a new region. The only other nation that brought many changes was Sumeru, but that's because new element. Fontaine not really, besides underwater exploration. It was cool, but the characters did not feel as cool as they do now, especially with Natlan's nightsoul mechanics. I really wish they implemented something like this for each region ever since 1.0. There's also the fact that Natlan was the only nation shrouded in mystery. We knew very little about it compared to other regions. It would've been cool to have characters having mechanics that are unique to their nation. Makes the game feel more cohesive.

Natlan music is really good, honestly i don't usually pay attention to music in games, it's just something that plays in the background, so for me to actually notice the Natlan music definitely speaks to how good it is, probably because i'm more into vocals, music that's just instrumental isn't really my thing, so Natlan actually having singing already makes it way better than all the other region's music.

When I first got Mualani I thought she was weak. Oh boy do I say skill issue.. Made a killer team where Xiangling can burst consistently and now seeing 500k bombs on random abyss stuff opened my eyes. Smooth rotations, fun gameplay and just insanely fast clears. She's crazy I already forgave any issues I had thanks to everything else she has with the adorable animations, visuals, exploration, movement, creativity, voice work, everything. But my issues were misplaced, I don't think she has many issues

My experience: Mualani: C2 (I only wanted C1 but also wanted c6 kachina, which I got 2 pulls later 😥) Kinich: Not interested, gonna do one 10 pull to see if he wants me Xilonen: Oh god oh f*ck I desperately need her C2 f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck Chasca: If you've seen leaks like I have, you'll know why I want C0 (Wanderer isn't good enough) Mavuika: Most likely going to be way too OP to not get as high Con as possible

I'm finding myself on the opposite end. Yes the overworld is a stepup but the fact that they sell us utility doesn't sit right with me. And the alternative robs you from using the characters you want to use/ have pulled for (fontaine did the same underwater where it reduced your characters to a model swap but i digress). Ascetic wise i found Fontaine more appealing so i see myself skipping a lot in 5.x compared to 4.x where i pulled most characters. To each their own and I'm happy for those enjoying Natlan, but it ain't for me i guess.

Eh, not really. Whenever you would actually need that kind of mobility there are always the saurians you need around. I feel like the most useful one is gonna by Xilonen since she is good to traverse land and can climb really fast. Mualani would be the least useful one since there isnt as mcuh water as there is land. Kinich is also gonna be really good on the mobility since he can pretty much to his thing for horizontal and vertical movement as well.

Fontaine music is amazing. Its one of the best parts of the AQ, the whale theme is top tier of all bosses, the bittersweet feeling of the entire ost feels very layered.

I got c1 Mualani trying to get C6 Kachina. Anyways, I agree... Natlan is too stacked, I had way too many characters I wanted to pull for, so I had to take some L's and focus on my decisions to pull moving forward. Kinich: I will wait for his rerun. I want him now but its smarter to wait to see what Mavuika and Xbalanque will do for him. Xilonen: Support Geo Dommy Mommy is gonna have to wait for a rerun. She looks amazing and super fun to play, as well as a game changer support like Kazuha but I am not made of primos. Chasca: I have a rule. If Elf, you buy. Seriously Elves just do it for me too badly... its a sickness. One thing I will say, is that the info coming from Chasca's kit is making me double take a little. I love Elves but I also love the Traveler and I won't let my boy be disrespected by Hoyo like that, that's all I will say. Citlali: 100% Yes provided she is a DPS. I do not have a single Cryo DPS on my account. Iansan: She is the reason I get out of bed everyday, the less said the better... according to my lawyers anyway. Mavuika: Is very possible I will be pulling for her. I am not a meta chaser but if a character can make other characters I like but don't use much because of viability, then she becomes a priority. Ororon: Don't care. Ifa: Don't care. Madame Ping: Another 5 star Hydro unit? I love ya but no thanks. Capitano: Don't do harbingers Columbina: Don't do harbingers Xbalanque: Not sure.

Fontaine is the first region where they tried the 'only characters from this region can use it' mechanic which is the pneuma and ousia but even those aren't as useful as natlan's nightsoul blessing/points. They also have bond of life but honestly no one use it other than arle and clorinde despite being accessible to non fontaine characters via fontaine craftable weapon. I wonder if mhy will make nightsoul blessing be accessible to non-natlan characters too. For pyro archon I was thinking maybe she could provides phlogiston bar for natlan characters when they're outside natlan

I will say this, looking at Shark-Surfer girls gameplay. She looks great fun and clearly a lot of stuff in Natlans water areas had her in mind... However, that makes it all the more shitty that all that is only for the people who cough up the pulls. Why couldn't Traveler ride around a shark like that, would've made the regions arrival all the more exciting with a new overworld feature available for all.

So when I started playing genshin all the way back during launch. I made it my personal goal to get every single character with movement abilities that aid in exploration. Venti, Keqing, Mona, Kazuha, Ayaka, Sayu, Yelan, Wanderer, Xianyun, Furina, Arlecchino... Even Alhaitham despite his 18second CD keqing ripoff. So Natlan is going to fking break me because everyone is supposed to have movement abilities in this fking nation.

Good thing I dislike Natlan folks design 😂 Natlan characters banners will be ignored for most of time hoarding gems, saves money. Wouldnt be surprised if i save up 200k gems (im at 145k) Dont want Monster Hunter or typical Pkmn gym leader at my team. Pyro Archon the only unit on my 'Interrest' list. Because they are always very strong!

New characters take time to build up, so they don't do a lot of damage, but I can feel Mualani has potential even at low levels. I've never found Paimon to be annoying, but halfway through the first Archon quest & I'm hesitant to get Kinich because of Ajaw.

I'm saving my guaranteed for Kinich on my main account because I collect short husbandos, and I tried getting Mualani on my secondary account but I lost the 50/50. Still, even without Mualani and just with Kachina + my other characters, Natlan has been pretty fun so far! The ones I AM getting in both accounts no matter what are Xilonen with these guaranteed and then Mavuika. I'm following leaks and no spoilers but Xilonen's exploration thing looks SO FUCKING FUN AND SMOOTH, besides her kit being incredible. I already have enough saved primos on my main for Kinich and Xilonen, so I'm relieved. That said, I do want Chasca at least on main account since I'm an anemo main, and if rumors about her exploration skill are true the more the reason. So I'll be in trouble after 5.1!

For me Natlan is great for my savings, I only intend to pull for Mavuika, Capitano and shenhe(if she finally gets a rerun). I already have 350pulls saved and with just 3 Characters for now I can also get weapons/constellations without spending money.

Genuinely how i feel about natlan I am an exploration player so when you make characters that do exactly that it makes me want to pull for them But not just that i think the entire cast of natlan is just really good overall Like i genuinely want every single one of them

I’d say for characters, while it’s cool they have these movement mechanics, there’s also other monsters you can control to similar effect so I feel like I won’t lose out if I don’t pull mualani. For me, while I think exploration and open world difficulty up is a good thing, I’m a mixed bag as far as the story / character design / tone goes. When you hear “Natlan is the nation of war” and all we see is break dancing cavemen and surfer bros at the hot springs, I’m getting the vibe they aren’t taking it seriously so why should I? The characters thus far have this happy over animated dancey type of thing which is different and I like it, but seeing xilonen’s design I was sort of disappointed how modern it was (her musical instrument of choice and footwear specifically, not trying to get into spoilers). Yeah it’s cool, but it looks like a character that was in HI3 and it belongs moreso in star rail or zzz. Like once genshin introduces a gadget that’s like a cell phone, it’s over for that medieval fantasy aesthetic that I like about genshin that hoyo’s other games don’t have. The tone so far is too happy for the nation of war. No conflict getting into natlan and everyone is just our friend off the bat even though we’re an outsider and caused every other archon to lose their gnosis to the fatui who are not on friendly terms with them. I was expecting at least inazuma levels of war with like the beach battle field where you can see things in ruins from battle. Instead we see zones from like monster hunter that are wide and open, great for exploring and testing travel mechanics, but no tone of aesthetic of “war”. Yes there’s dark zones we can transport to, but they don’t leave effects on the real world like how there was the withering in sumeru that made it aesthetically look intimidating. I hope future updates they can dive into fleshing out the world and characters because right now it feels like they’re just spitballing ideas rather than having a really cohesive region.

⁠@@amandaslough125I finished the archon story not mualani’s yet, but there is the same issue. It’s like if your nation is constantly battling the abyss, wouldn’t there be wear and tear on buildings, active and aggressive guards protecting their tribes borders, and high levels of caution because on top of not liking the abyss, they also don’t like the fatui and the traveler has already befriended at least arlecchino and childe and every archon thus far has lost their gnosis to the fatui, so why does everyone trust traveler? There is not even any infighting which always happens when you have competition even if you are on the same team of fighting the abyss. The closest thing to that is a jealous person wishing they had the glory instead of someone else and just being mean. For Fontaine it started with setting up the premise that all disputes are settled through justice in the courts. For Natlan, it’s showing that they have a tournament to determine the best warriors to fight the abyss in an endless battle for glory, but so far in the story there is no really internal conflicts. The tribes get along and even if they’re super serious about the competition, afterwards everyone is friendly and nice with each other for the most part. Each of their villages look peaceful and have like hot springs and break dancing areas with no one practicing fighting or anything of that sort. At least if there was this serious tournament I’d expect to see gyms, guards constantly training or on patrol. The area may look very good and I love the movement mechanics, but it’s just not convincing me they’ve been in an endless battle with the abyss for so long with how aloof all of the people are.

tbh. I don't quite see why people say natlan is more fun to explore than previous regions. I've consistently enjoyed exploration since inazuma and while I like the new overworld gimmicks in natlan I don't think they're leagues better than what the last regions had to offer. As of now I'd still say Chenyuu Vale was my favourite area to explore. But I'm glad more people are getting into exploration with natlan now.

The fatui local legends were so tough but I threw a team of Neuvillette, Kokomi, Raiden and Kazuha together and I was finally able to take them down. The electro and pyro fatui dudes were easy but I was left just charge attacking the cryo dude with Neuvy and it took a good amount of time.

that just happened to me during my refight for their second achievement, I just had to sit there with my xiao team and slowly break his shield while staying away cause his main attack would one-shot every character in my team. He still killed my xiao at the end cause of that snowstorm he spawns when dying.

eventually when we are out of nat, the charaters wont have this function where we cant swap to them for a boost of energy, and thats going to suck, so i hope mihoyo dosnt do that, and lets us use this type of ability going forward with new places, excluding some if it would effect a quest or something, like reaching places your not allowed to, that would make since. but just doing it in the overworld, i dont understand why they would want to limit that... SO HOPEFULLY, some lore reason, , like i dunno.... we get the pyro gnoses, we have that lil red bar everywhere,, haha, JUST GIVING SOME IDEAS OKAY??!???

I do really like both of the 5 stars present, but due to my extreme levels of simping over capitano, i will skip every single natlan 5 star until i have him, im not even joking i have 238 pulls saved for him and his weapon

I’m actually having a pretty mixed experience in Natlan so far, and I’m thinking that comes down to the fact that I don’t use Kachina or Mualani. This region is very clearly built to sell its characters to make navigation easier, and if you don’t plan to use the new characters, you’re not going to have a great time here. Especially in the canyons. Furina gets me by just fine in the springs area, but the canyons are kind of a nightmare to get around in. Sure, there’s the saurians, but they’re kinda awkward and you have basically zero combat ability in that form, so if you encounter enemies you have to either run or un-transform to fight them. They’re just inconvenient enough for me to want to not use them. But I have to. And that annoys me. Sumeru and Fontaine nailed it on their traversal mechanics. Natlan, eh… it’s alright I guess. Better than the finicky electro zip lines of Inazuma, but that’s not high praise. It’s certainly not all bad. I do like the more challenging enemies (though that might just be because of world level 9), the story so far is intriguing (I love the characters, especially Kachina; I just don’t plan to use them in gameplay), and the music is on point as always… though unlike the uploader, I definitely prefer Fontaine’s OST so far… I do have a lot of positive things to say about Natlan. I just opted to highlight some of my gripes here to counterbalance the hymns of praise being sung in this video.

Honestly i do not like how convinent the exploration is with netlan charechter, i still like the challenge of managing stamina but maybe this is just my opinion and will change when chasca comes out and start flying

Eh, she is the easiest one to skip imo. It also helped that I didn't like the playstyle. There's no way I would get a character simply for their mobility in the overworld. Now Xilonen and Mavuika... hoo boy, getting those 2 for sure, maybe even C2 and weapon. The weapons are way more tempting now that there's only 1 fate point needed. Before that I would only try the weapon banner when I was cool with either weapon.
