Had problems with depression for many years in my twenties. Gave my life to God when I was 30 and started praying about my depression regularly, one day I realized I had not been depressed in a very long time, God had delivered me so gradually I had not noticed, now 70 and free. Glory to my heavenly Father.

Tessie it is such a wonderful feeling when you realize that God speaks to someone else in the same way he speaks to you. It helps you realize just how real and tangible he is. I want to thank you for being brave and going in front of the camera and sharing your burdens and your joys with us. Thank you for not shutting us out (which is easy to do when you have anxiety as you feel like the less interaction you have the less chance of something making you more anxious). Thank you, Tessie, for trusting us enough to share this with us. My problems really deal more with depression (hereditary) and hyper ventilation (sp). It is true - that a person can sometimes put all kinds of unnecessary burdens on themselves. I may have shared this before on this channel, but after I broke my hip I was so self conscious about the way I walk (my walk is not entirely normal to this day). My uncle finally said "You can walk without a cane and don't be ungrateful". My neighbor said "Franklin Roosevelt ran the country from a wheelchair". It made me realize that what I was worrying about was petty and placing an unnecessary burden on myself. Anymore, I figure if someone doesn't like the way I walk, they can look the other direction! Sounds to me like you are getting a pretty good handle on your own situation. I am praying for you.

I have multiple chemical sensitivity and I get vertigo every time I’m exposed to perfume or cologne, air freshener, Axe deodorant, fabric softener, scented candles. It took me a long time to make the connection. Antihistamine helps. I’m hoping to get a prescription antihistamine for future attacks. Hope this helps someone.

This brought a tear to my eye, Tessie. Wow... have I been there as well. Like you, I know panic attacks from the inside out and from up to down. I think they are partly genetic (or the tendency to have them is) and partly due to conditioning from early childhood. Even the most well-meaning parents can sometimes convey the message: "You have to be perfect. You have to be perfect. You have to be perfect." That is such a burdensome message to send to a little child. I'm not saying it's anyone's fault, of course. That's just the way some cultures (including the one I was raised in) deal with child-raising issues. But that becomes a drumbeat that you hear in your head over and over again throughout your life, until and unless you're blessed with a moment like the one you had (although I'm sure it didn't feel like a blessing at the time the vertigo was happening) when God says: "Enough. You are good enough just the way you are. And you are loved unconditionally just the way you are." I've been given some pretty negative health-related news over the last couple of weeks, so this has been a pretty intense Easter Sunday, to say the least. Your message is a realistic (not a false/sentimental) message of hope on this day. I'm very grateful for that. I wish you restful, peaceful sleep tonight and every night. It's the very least you deserve for all the good that you're done for others over the years. May the peace that passes all understanding be with you. Tessie. God bless and thank you.

I have PTSD, severe anxiety and bipolar. It isn't just mentally exhausting, it's physically. It can come over your whole body in waves and just knock you down. I struggle daily, but I always get back up. I may cry for a few hours, full in panic attacks, sleep for hours.. but I get back up. I have tried being off meds but became close to suicidal. So back on meds after years. I don't know how well the meds help. Panicking to the point that everything around you is spinning, I've been through that. It's scary.
@reverie60343 жыл бұрын
I’ve been on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds for 13 years now. I used to be ashamed of it and try to get off of them but I also became suicidal without them. The meds don’t magically cure anything but the right ones can adjust your brain chemistry enough that you can employ your coping mechanisms. I still get panic attacks that roll over me in waves. Sometimes I sleep all day. But you’re right. We just keep getting back up. I try to be proud of that even if I’ve done nothing else. 💜

I love your honesty Tessie. I have dealt with this my entire life. I have hashimotos thyroid and they have never gotten it under control. I went through many years where I couldn’t even visit a mall with my children as I would have such an anxiety. I then went through menopause which started my downward spiral again. After 34 years of marriage my husband left and the life I built with him died because he was so selfish he didn’t want to go through the for better for worse. I had to start over and with that came more anxiety and worry. Just keep your faith. God is good no matter what.

Menopause will bring on panic attacks, gloomy thoughts, it will make it hard to breathe, feel closed in, unable to lay down or calm down. I have had thoughts that I can not breathe or worry for my grown children and grandchildren. It helps to get up and walk around, open a window for fresh air, and talk yourself down. I have never been one to have panic attacks or breathing problems, this only came with the hormones of menopause. It might happen again and knowing it will pass can help. Prayers for you.

I have learned this lesson, and then forgot it, and then learned it and then forgot it. This video was an excellent and well spoken reminder that I sorely needed. My sincerest thanks for making this video. God bless you!

Tessie your channel helps encourage so many of us! There is a beautiful song that Joey & Rory sang that reminds me of what your saying about burdens. I think the song is titled "Leave it there". One of the lines says, take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there. This is something I'm trying to do more in my life. Thank you Tessie for sharing your testimony about how God spoke to you and what you learned. I appreciate you! May your week be a week full of joy and peace!

Oh my goodness I so needed to hear this today. Yesterday I struggled with trying to prepare a big meal for Easter for my family, now mind ya I cook for a big crowd at all the holidays so this wasn’t the first time doing this, but I kept feeling overwhelmed and was in a lot of pain because of my old broken down body, my momma was trying to help me but she just isn’t able to do much these days. After everyone finished eating they all told me how wonderful the meal was and thanked me but I still just didn’t feel like it was wonderful, I felt defeated. Then this morning I watched this video and I’m guessing this is God speaking to me thru you because my eyes are leaking 😭. Thank you Tessie for all that you do, you seem to always know what to say and your bubbly personality is awesome.

Good morning pretty Tessie ❤ This video came up in my feed this morning. What a great testimony you have! Thank you so much for sharing that message! There are so many things in life that we have the hardest time handing over to God. And most of the time they are things that after we finally hand them over we realize they were not as important and life changing as we originally thought and wonder why we held on so long. I am so glad you had this moment with God and are now able to teach others Tessie. You are a true servant of the lord ❤

May He continue to bless you and your family and may He continue to bless us through your good work. PEACE

U are such a kind and caring person. U are unique and special. U always speak to my heart. U are still human and u never have to feel ashamed that things arent perfect. My daddy use to say that sometimes we pierce ourselves with many sorrows. Those things that are so heavy to bare, we must give them to God. We really are here for u, we care.Always know if u have a heavy burden, we will help lighten the load. Take care Tessie and u are in my prayers.
