I appreciate this type of videos where you teach newer players of what they need to do when they learn or play certain characters so that they can play better. Keep it up JD!
@eternalblasphemy65263 жыл бұрын
JDCR, the reason second Drag player was backing off after every d2 he hit is because at these ranks people give zero Fs about plus frames and just mash (WS) moves on any given opportunity. Stepping back and whiff punishing (sometime just blocking) seems like the only viable option.
@thatredcomet3 жыл бұрын
Hopkick is also a pretty common response after d+2
@coveringgrape52513 жыл бұрын
The whole video is a good example of why people who play online learn habits that are super effective against low-mid level players but would get shrugged off by a high-pro level player.
@PyroInferno1102 жыл бұрын
Then u have to side step have d2, now in his case he was in the corner unless if he’s on the right side he could step, also it doesn’t hurt to not press after d2 just gotta read if your opponent respects it or not
@Meminjo Жыл бұрын
6:07 Miguel main, he does have high crush in certain moves, but it's kinda iffy and dangerous. d+1+2 is -12 from range 0 but safe @-9 from max range f,F+2,1 has high crush for the first hit, but 2nd hit is duckable, though it's safe on block if they don't crouch. FC df+4 crushes from frame 1 but a hefty -26 on block, only use if you have a hard read (same with SAV db+4, but crush is from frame 10) WS+3 crushes highs from frame 6 but is -12 on block SAV df+2, launcher (yikes), but crushes highs from frame 8 or 10, pushback on block makes it a little difficult to punish... unless they step it, then GG. The only safe high crush is both downjabs, so he is quite lacking in that department,

great editor, people need to take notes how to not do overbearing editing and let the content speak for itself

Yup this 100%. Some editors try too hard and make it about themselves. Too many cuts or sound effects. I understand why they want to get noticed and stand out from the rest. But we came for the Content creator/Personality. If its something like stream highlights then its ok.

Using this kind of mental game is really easy to use when play against high rank or a person who have understanding of the game but playing with the low rank (got damm) mind game is no use. Low rank literally use random buttons and don’t even think (that also includes me). That’s why playing PvP and classic is so much help for me to learn the game and improve. (I am new to tekken but I do have experience in fighting game).

Could someone elaborate on why JDCR says not to use AK rage drive or grabs? I'm only green ranks and just picking the character up so my intuition isn't as sharp as his. I realize that at my rank throw mixups only work because the opponent is unlikely to know the proper break inputs. However, isn't that a part of AK's game plan? As for the rage drive, I assumed he urged against it due to his ability to react to it. Any insight is greatly appreciated, AK quickly became my favorite character to play and I'd love to get gud
