Basically nobody goes to church, and then everyone buys large chocolate eggs which for some reason are supposedly distributed by a seasonal rabbit and are usually eaten days before the actual event because they're on sale from January and people keep moving Easter so nobody is ever sure what week it is, you get an unexpected day off to recover from the starvation of forgetting that all the shops were shut the Sunday before...

I'm form Poland and full name of Easter Monday in Poland is called Śmingus Dyngus and one of the traditions is to have water fights during the day, traditionally the boys would throw water on girls but today it's mostly forgotten and everyone have a chance to get soaked. Usually stores would have stocked berfore the holiday on water guns and water containers shaped like easter eggs.

I work a corporate retail shift where most of the other associates don't want to work Saturday and Sunday because they have social lives, but because I don't, I can work those days and leave Monday and Tuesday for chores like laundry so that I don't have to compete with the majority of folks at my apartment complex who save all that stuff for the weekend.
