I'm not 70 or 80, but I would proudly drive this car. We sold my grandparents Fleetwood last year for $8500! It had about 10k fewer miles, the same as yours except for it being black on tan. I can't wait to bid on this when you send it down the road!! Please let us know.

This takes me back. When I was 20 working at an insurance agency, the president drove a Fleetwood identical to this one. Guy had an 8 figure net worth, could have had any car in the world, but all he wanted was one of these. You'd never know he was loaded by looking at either his house or his car. I learned a lot about life from him, he was like another grandpa to me.

Bro I yelled at my damn phone when you dented the hood trying to close it @8:53 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
@makpsv
@makpsv Жыл бұрын
8:51 And that is why you let the hood fall the last 8 or 10 inches instead of letting it down slowly and then push like a maniac on it. You will avoid getting nice little dents on it, just like in the video. How many hoods I've seen with those dents when they're easily avoidable. 😥

My 94 Fleetwood got 26mpg. Even with almost 300k on the LT1! I had the transmission rebuilt and installed a shift kit and stall converter. Those upgrades really helped with the performance.

hello Randy in my opinion, you better keep the two Cadillac because it is sure that their value will increase. I am in France in Europe and all the old cars have their odds exploding it will be the same thing with you because it is also the end of an era with petrol engines, so all these cars will be very rare , continue your great videos

Wow, I never would've guessed that a car that recent would have the fuel filler behind the license plate - my old '68 Cougar was that way! Never seen a locking mechanism for one of those either. Cool! You need your own warehouse. Then you can store a car like this - $4500 sounds a little high to me, but I'm not up on the market. I'd look at how many were produced, and try to get an idea of how many survive. If it's rare, keep it, and it may well appreciate. I'm guessing they didn't make a whole lot of those cars. I'd want to take a look at that trunk lock before buying any parts.

I had an 1986 Bro Ham the trunk problem is from people slamming it, not using the soft close feature. I owned a limo service back then and customers used to slam my trunks all the time. It’s the latch it needs to be replaced. Simple fix. Love 💕 the gas cap feature wish I had that. Horn sounds a little off also. I had Vogue white wall tires those are the recommended tires.

This is a bittersweet video to watch. I love the Fleetwoods. My grandparents had a 1994. We were the second owners and bought it when it was 9 years old after the prior owner blew the engine up. Sadly the car was destroyed in the Florida hurricane last year. The water line was up to the doors and that was all she wrote. We had just put new tires on it, a new transmission, and rebuilt the front suspension too.

Out of all the ones that I see that you have lined up....the only two that I would consider keeping are the FLeetwood and the Seville! I'm an old Cadillac/Lincoln guy from way back and there isn't anything like a Land Yacht in my book! I'm partial to the 70's and 80's DeVille's and Fleetwoods but I'd be hard pressed parting ways with that 96 Fleetwood! A little TLC and that baby would be a blast to own!

I think people are starting to look for these as they are the last "real" Cadillac. Since these were the expensive high-end model made for only four years there were not many made and fewer in decent condition left. As far as the trunk motor, I have to replace one on my GTA and I hear it can be a pain getting the alignment correct if you don't have everything marked before disassembly.

I love these cars. I only buy '90s cars. '96 is a good year. Though I don't like soft close trunks. I have learned that keeping the tire pressure low prevents the car from going sideways and spinning tires. Getting my car road legal has been frustrating but I love driving it. My cars tend to have lots of issues but run perfectly the day I sell them.

Can't believe a 96 is almost considered an antique. I've always been a huge fan of the Fleetwood Brougham and agree with you Randy that it's iconic squarer predecessor is much more pleasant looking. By the time they redesigned it in 92 I believe, it ended up looking too bulbous. Just not a fan. Without white walls, somethings just missing. You'll be hard pressed to find any white walls nowadays. They are hard to find. Vogues are one of the few choices and they are $$$!! I much prefer the style of the Town Car of this era before they were also redesigned. Maybe Big Al or Specialty Motors will buy it. I do love the Seville you have though. I'd be tempted to keep that !
