I always enjoy your videos. Reminds me of something a guy once told me when i was in a small engine repair class. The guy would always say "you make much more money when your honest with your customers" because they come back and they end up sending other people to you. you go somewhere and you feel like you just got screwed ,chances are you will be going somewhere else and certainly not sending anyone else to them. I remember he said all the time to me. I was in prison at the time so maybe that's why he said it so much. That was 40 years ago and i still think of that guy today.

Never did anything with the small engine repair knowledge,but it was good to have. I did all the guards lawnmowers. put new valves and rings, sharpened the blade with a file and sandblasted the inside of the shell. all the parts were on the house (paid by the state) I worked in the auto shop too . But I only did state cars and vans.

Dear Scotty, get the Viking 2 / 8 / 15 Amp battery charger from Harbor Freight. You have to understand, the new chargers are microprocessor controlled. This is why they are light and don’t weigh as much. Apparently Dewalt had a junk company make theirs. The one that I mentioned above from Harbor Freight works fantastic! The recondition / desulfater works great on older batteries as well! It also serves as a maintainer if you choose to use it in that capacity.

​it isn'tthe microprocessor control which makes them light, it is the fact that the power supplies don't need heavy transformers because they use inverter technology. I have a 20 year old Vector microprocessor controlled 2-10-25 amp with 75 amp jump start capability and desulfator which weighs very little but works well.

Hey Scotty, find and acupuncturist to treat carpal tunnel. Pay attention to the points, then use a finger to push on them. I use a little wooden mallet or acupuncture needles when I have them. it works in minutes.Great shows.

I've used power washers with my work for year's. Now I'm retired, I bought a Simpson power washer just for using around the house. I don't recall the exact model right off, but, get one with the extra heavy duty pump, it doesn't need to be the largest unit .

Hey scotty, Thank your the recent video. I was losing my mind over noises from the rear of my car. Thinking the obvious that it was wheel bearing noise my local mechanic said it was the tyres. He took them off and upon inspection he showed me the cracks inbetween the treads and they were almost splitting apart despite only being 4 years old. The previous owner had fitted cheap chinese crap tyres so we replaced them. Hey ho, no more noise after a new set of Bridgestones were fitted. Thanks again scotty.

Anyone who buys DeWalt brand tools understand this. Their tools are of excellent value and quality. Now, I am a Milwaukee man, but I know reality. Dewalt and Milwaukee are neck & neck when it comes to making the best power tools. However, Dewalt’s parent company (Stanley, Black & Dead-er) fails miserably when they contract out the production of other tools, which are not Dewalt power tools, but slap the DeWalt name on them just so they can sell junky stuff & make profit. Do not buy Dewalt branded yard equipment or their pressure washers. But yes, if you are vested in the 20 V Dewalt platform, you have a good thing going.

The older DeWalt 'boom box'-battery chargers look cool and are somewhat rugged (I have two) but have the worst sounding audio on the planet. They are marginally good for maybe talk radio and since I don't have Ni-Cad batteries anymore, the charger is useless.

Ace makes a neoprene wrist strap without the metal. It does in fact work with arthritis in your hand and wrist only because it holds your own body heat in your wrist. I wore one 24 years ago for a year after a major wrist surgery (car accident), and will wear one when it gets very cold and notice my hand hurting! Not magic or a cure all, although helpful

If your battery charger does not have a manual mode that overrides the microprocessor, that little chip senses the resisting charge from a stone dead because there is no electrochemical reaction across the plates! If there is any voltage before you start charging, you stand a chance of reviving it, unless the battery is aged out. You have to force a current(2-5amps) across the plates. Most newer cars have a parasite draw to keep the computers memories.

Over my many decades of life. I can confidently offer one piece of advice. Simply ignore 90% of good ratings as they're likely written by family, employees or paid influencers. Instead follow this 1 rule of life. This is based on basic human behaviour. If there is a problem with something. Be it quality, longevity. cheap construction etc. You will hear about it until the cows come home. Every man & his dog will warn you away from them. But... if it's a good product. You'll barely hear a word. It really comes down to people loving to whine and complain. But for some reason, the majority, never rave about the good unless it's exceptional or they are blown away with the value for money and feel the need to brag. I am no different. Just something to consider. ;)

Harbor Freight is my favorite toy store! Me likey! I have lots of Bauer tools! In 20 volt and plug in 120V. You can buy a battery and charger starter kit and pick a free tool for $80! I have put all my Bauer tools through more abuse that I would've killed a few Dewalt's already. As long as you don't make them do more than the tool size was intended. The 4inch sander is indestructible! My house is very old. It strips paint and floor varnish very quickly. My small shop vac hose connects to the discharge for no dust sanding.

I replaced my Craftsman shop vac with a Bauer. Bauer is much quieter, and works much better. But I will say the craftsmen lasted me 15 years. So I got my monies worth out of it, but I should have bought the Bauer in the first place 😅
