I have had my clopay garage door for over 20 years with no problems, and believe me, the door has been opened and closed countless times, and not just to let my vehicle in and out.

My neighbor just got a Clopay Wooden door. I didn't evem know they made them and that thing is nice as hell and it's quiet. His is definitely not a pos. It was a fortune though so maybe this is one of their lower end doors. If you're having problems, it's probably with the install.

Clopay is the best ! almost identical to a chi. All these issues are installation issues not the door. Most installers suck.

Nothing wrong with Clopay, My company has installed thousands of them. It's all in the installation. The door not closing without holding the button is a photo eye issue. If you new anything about doors and operators you would know that there is a diagnostics mode on Liftmasters operators.... It will tell you where the fault is. Do people pay you to install?

I've installed a ton of 4050 and 4300's for a company before. Wasn't too bad if I remember right. I'll give any manufacturer a shot as long as the doors aren't damaged. C.H.I needs help in that department.

It’s whoever installed the door didn’t do a good job keeping it quiet otherwise clopay is still a good door compared to Wayne dolton otherwise galvanize springs and the rollers no good
