For people saying that she has wavy hair she doesn’t. You have to understand that she straightens her hair EVERY DAY so its very very damaged and she has lots of loss in her curls
@siddalee27595 жыл бұрын
Aloamazing 56 she has 2c/ 3a hair, but in this video when it was damaged it was only 2b so her hair is still wavy , just damaged which makes it even looser of a wave. in newer videos u can see her actual curl pattern.

A ton of people are forgetting that this girl has heat damaged curls. She even said so herself. She uses her straightener everyday for over an hour and a half. What you see is not her natural curl pattern. Over time if she stops using heat, and keep treating it the way it should be, her pattern will come back. She also even said that she never learned how to take care of it, which is why she kept straightening it. I feel like they should've shown her curly hair before the damage (baby photos, toddler photos with her hair out etc.) her heat damaged curls will appear as waves as long as she keeps using heat. Good luck to her journey to healthy curls.
@amandaashly7897 жыл бұрын
Saba Blah no problem. I've had relaxers and I've straightened and color damaged my curls before. So I know what it's like to see myself and others curl pattern become a lot like hers. Good luck to your journey and just remember to have patience with your growth. I chopped all my damage off and my hair stretched touches my jawline. So if you don't want to cut it, do it gradually and let it grow out. But if you wanna be bold and feel like you're ready to cut it off, do it! I hope you learn to love your curls and I hope you learn a lot on your journey.
@alondracontreras11567 жыл бұрын
gurl you are so right, it'd be interesting to see an update of her hair. We could see the damaged hair transitioning to it's original pattern
@Barumonster7 жыл бұрын
I was thinking about this while watching. It was hard to sympathize with her when her curls looked so good during the video. It was just difficult to understand how she could think that her hair was so awful? It looks beautiful! But I kept thinking, this isn't the natural state, it's styled, so of course it's going to look better than when it's improperly cared for. It's like getting your hair cut and styled at the salon, loving it, but then hating what it looks like later because you don't know how to style it well. Just the same, straight hair looks ragged when you don't take care of it at all. Learning how to best treat and care for your hair type, whatever type that is, is the important lesson here, I think. With what she learned, even when her natural curl recovers from the heat damage, it will be so much more healthy than ever before and now she knows how to take care of it in a way that's satisfying to her. That's a confidence boost I can understand.

Baby photos and toddler photos aren't going to be an accurate representation. Hair changes a lot throughout your lifetime, ESPECIALLY in the time between being a young child to someone in their 20s. The waves were due to the styling as you could see on day three and four, when the styling was losing its effect and her hair started to look more like ringlets. People have different types of curls, not all of them are really tight.

Honestly once you get past that mental barrier, you get used to it and enjoy saving some time for extra sleep in the morning ;) If anyone straightens their hair constantly, obviously it's totally up to you, but you should really just try it out!! :) It seems like such a small thing but you honestly feel so free when you just embrace your natural hair ;)

Beginning of this year and I cut it short again after 2 years of it long, now my hair is a thick curly/wavy mess and it is hard to take the frizz but I'm so happy. I feel I look so much better with curly hair, I'm more confident and it great.

My hair is in a short bob- when I get out of the shower, I towel dry it, rub some anti-frizz serum in it and comb it out, then I work a dollop of product through it (I currently use Marc Anthony Strictly Curls lotion), scruffle it up and scrunch it a bit, then I comb the front hairline just a bit, so it will stay out of my eyes, and to set teh wave in front. That's it. It took me 45 years to decide to quit fighting my curls- and now I love my hair! Been wearing it curly for the last 7 years, and I'll never go back1

Zairanang The real answer to this question is because we live in a Society that is forcing everyone without European beauty standards to comply and conform to the standards. For example, a person with naturally curly hair especially in their own natural communities can be told that their curly hair is inappropriate or not professional off just because it isn't straightened. The same goes for women with wider noses or fuller lips.

Yup but the curls created by an iron you have 100% control of how they will turn out, they aren't "real". Real curls and waves sometimes will look frizzy, sometimes will curl in the opposite direction you would wish for. Embrancing natural hair it's all about giving up control. Also what you call curls is known in the curly hair community as waves. Real curls are much tighter

So many people are like why is she crying and I guess it's hard to explain if you don't have curly hair. It's like what she said in the beginning, celebrities are always portrayed as having sleek, shiny, straight hair. So its like there this part of you that you can't change and you feel like you'll stand out or look weird for just having that part of you so for years I would straighten my hair all the time because I thought that that was the only way to look good or put together. This end up damaging your hair so bad that you loose your curl and it just dead. So to finally feel pretty and comfortable with her hair as it is, is a hard thing to do

I also wish society wasn't such a downer on natural hair, because it's so gorgeous and awesome. ❤️

If I see one more person compare themselves to this young lady I'm gonna flip. Yes, her hair is curly. But because of heat damage it's slightly wavy as well. She even said so in the video, so she was never denying it. And so what if she's crying. Your hair is a big trait that people pay a lot of attention to. She finally feels comfortable with herself, so she has every right to be emotional. Leave her alone, and be happy for this beautiful lady. And PLEASE stop comparing yourselves to her. Just cause you wouldn't cry, or because your hair is curlier, doesn't mean you get to hate.

@haleighharris75417 жыл бұрын
Well the process of achieving this look will only work if you have naturally curly hair. My aunt taught me how to style my curly hair. I just wash it and then I let it air dry for 10 mins and then I brush it out. After that I will flip my hair upside down and apply hair gel all through out it. After that is all in I scrunch it up so it isn't flat from me applying the gel in it. Then I blow dry it upside down. There's a specific piece to put on the hair dryer, it's shown in the video when she's getting it blown dried. Different gel strength holds will give you different results. I started to do this style this year and like she said in the video, I've never gotten as many compliments about my hair. I also love to touch my hair all the time. It's definitely a relief from going from 2 hours to straighten my hair down to 20 mins to do my hair.
@LexiAngel917 жыл бұрын

Bezel frizzy hair is because her hairs curly. every singly curly haired person would have really frizzy hair if they just washed it and left it.

EmilyK1101 I wash and leave my hair. I have really wavy hair and used to detangle it after every shower and apply products, etc, but my hair was too fine. I noticed I had all these broken pieces. Now I brush it out before, wash and spritz in some leave-in conditioner on dry hair. I have frizz but it’s not too bad. I was always told frizz was caused by dry, brittle hair lacking moisture.
@EmilyK11016 жыл бұрын
@@luckyDancer100 but see you have wavy hair, not curly hair. curly hair may look similar but it acts very different to wavy hair. curly hair is prone to frizz no matter how healthy.
@luckyDancer1006 жыл бұрын
EmilyK1101 oh okay. I didn’t realize there was a big difference between the two routines, so maybe I’m mistaken in how curls are maintained. My hair is sort of in the middle- if I apply product, I have lots of big curls and waves. But if I just let it go, it’s more of a few waves past where I tuck it behind my ears lol. I can still brush it dry. I have to, otherwise my scalp gets too greasy and my ends too dry.
