Ace was a good dude. At one time or another I’ve worked all 3 shifts in a hospital. Midnights in a hospital is creepy. Imagine having to wheel a dead body down to the morgue by yourself in the middle of the night. Lots of long dimly lit hallways in the basement. Some of the craziest stuff went down on the midnight shift. Add a full moon and things would get even crazier.

As a night watcher that is a fully armed security officer, I always love these stories. I work in a very ill-populated area (very shifty stuff happens a LOT). I also think my building is haunted by a little native girl. There is a lot of stuff that would make great stories in my opinion. But it is very taxing (I am 22 and look 30), especially after a year of barely seeing the sun. I am waiting for a non-temp warehouse (unlike the story) to get back to me. Moral of the story, you should do it if you have a fire in your heart to be very disturbed, tired, and irrate. Great story!

I discovered that the air conditioner was starting to ice over so, i woke up my dad. He said this had better be good i got work in two hours. He was happy i had woke him up. I saved us a couple 1000 dollars in potential replacement air conditioning. I like to think of myself as a night watchmen. Many years later i helped save my grandmother who had dementia from drowning in a ditch because she left the house in the middle of the night. She's ok. There are now locks and alarms to prevent this from happening again. I live alone now but I never stopped keeping watch.
