i would wanna know it all
Hey, if I’ll love you...
I’d wanna know the basics, like your favorite color and your favorite food, or the place that you love going to the most.
But I’d also wanna know why.
I’d wanna know what is it about the color yellow that you call it your favorite, or why do you hate tomatoes so much.
I’d wanna know what part of living in the city is the most fascinating to you.
I’d wanna know the story behind each cut and mark on your body.
And if the moles were there when you were born.
I’d wanna know which relative of yours do you dislike the most and why.
And when we’re sitting across each other,
I’d wanna know every little thought that crosses your mind.
And when the lines appear on your forehead,
I’d wanna know exactly which thought is forming those.
I would love to talk to you about things that I don’t really care about much, like your favorite sport and who’s your favorite player.
And I’d want to discuss religion and politics and society and your childhood.
I’d wanna know which parts of me you find the most beautiful but also the parts of me that you don’t like whatsoever.
Do heights scare you, or is it deep water? And do you like the sun or the moon more?
What is it that your heart is madly passionate about?
And the things that you just cannot wait to get the world rid of?
Which was the best day of your life, and which the worst?
What are your fears and what are your dreams?
Who taught you to drive the first time, and why is your name what it is?
I’d wanna know it all.
But most importantly,
I’d wanna know what keeps you awake at 2 in the morning when the world’s asleep.
I’d wanna know what it is that drives sleep miles away.
What is it that makes your heart churn and your breath catch?
What is it? What is it that keeps you up at 2 in the morning?
