I’m glad you are okay. It happens more than you think. I work in insurance and most of the claims I process are similar accidents. I think most everybody has done something with their car that made them feel like a clown. I certainly have. Haha. I hope you get your car back soon!

I completely understand how you feel! I had a honda civic that was totaled 3 months ago in a chik fil a drive thru surprisingly. I now have a Rav4 and I am still not 100% comfortable driving it since it's a bigger car. I am glad you are okay though!

Don't feel bad Lauren. Literally almost when I first got my car, I backed into a building & smashed my tail light. Mando still has scratches on his rear, but the light is fixed. Also a much larger vehicle than what I had formally.

I did the same thing, I had a Ford Focus super small car, got a Jeep, and had it for like 4 days and was at a gas station and hit the pole because I didn’t turn wide enough. We all been there at some point!

I almost got in a car accident. I was a red light waiting. When a truck 2 cars behind me comes up behind the cars onto the curb and grass and zooms away. If turned at that moment I would have been crushed. Deo Gratias!!! Thankful my angel protected me. 💓

Glad you are okay after the wreck. At this point I know it is just a hassle to walk through all the little hoops to get it fixed. Don't feel stupid; things happen. I've had three accidents (a fourth car totalled in a parking space while I wasn't around). I do drive a lot for work, so my boss had warned me with the amount of driving we do, it is inevitable that an accident will happen. I totalled my last car (personal) one week after I bought my house. That was an interesting turn of events. Turns out, I got a better car out of the deal. The car I totalled was a model that turned out to have transmission problems, so I would have had to replace it not long after the accident anyway. Instead I was able to use the insurance settlement to completely pay for a better car. I love your hot chocolate bar. Too bad my kitchen counters are too full to make one!

Im glad you are okay and no one is hurt and pray that your car Isnt totaled and they will fix it. I got in an accident and totaled my car about 4 months ago and still upset and have driving anxiety. Turned left and saw no car coming about 20mph and a car ran into me it was in an area where its dark and Wasnt well lit and i am learning not to hate myself for it. I have a 2021 and wish I had my same 2019 car. Im very thankful for what I have and know how mentally tough it is.

As an insurance agent I can honestly say DONT feel like a clown for getting in an accident. The stories I've heard run the full gamut and a LARGE chunk of claims actually happen at slow speeds. And the way cars are built to absorb the impact it takes very little to basically wreck a bumper. Just glad no one including yourself got hurt.

It's alright, girl. It happens. I hit a parked car because I forgot to turn my wheel when I was parking into a spot (I was singing to Beyonce). The front of my bumper was missing while the car that I hit (massive pickup) had small scratches.

I know that you didn't hit the wall very hard and it seems concerning but my husband is a mechanic and they actually build newer cars to crumble like that because they are taking the impact. I saw the photo of the brick wall that was damaged and the damage to Remmy and it did exactly what it was suppose to do which is take the damage so you and any passengers in the vehicle don't. Many people will say that cars are made cheaply now and old cars wouldn't do that. While there is plenty of cheap stuff on some cars and brands who cut corners, but the thing is old cars were built tough, but at the expense of those in the vehicle absorbing the impact.
