@@haydensl23 dang, ur 12 and I’m 11 but u still have a better plot then me. my book is about three siblings and their last names are T. it starts off in the 1880’s in Venice, Italy with a duke, who’s their dad, the dutchess, who’s their mother, and obviously the siblings. there dad died shortly after the little sibling was born from a heart condition, but the dutchess and the kids were still happy. but the dutchess ended up falling in love again and marrying another man. on the oldest siblings birthday, the mom and stepdad get into a HUGE fight which leads into the stepdad kicking the mom out of the house and keeps it a secret from the kids. the mom becomes homeless and depressed and so desperate to see her kids until one day at night she sneaks into their house and kills the siblings hoping to be reunited with them in heaven, but instead of the siblings going to heaven or the underworld, they awake in a strange land instead, and they have to find their way back home.

Even if it doesn't live up to what you would write now, it's still an amazing accomplishment to have not only written it, but then gone ahead and completed it and put it out there. That's huge for anyone at any age. Procrastination is a tough thing and a lot of times we get stuck feeling that something isn't perfect enough, so we never finish it. It is my belief that perfectionism is almost a sickness in our fast-paced think-things-to-death culture. It's wonderful what you did and you should feel really proud.

I remember i wrote a book some time ago called The Dunbar mystery. It was well basically about the child Dunbar that dissapeard and like generations later when a family member does DNA research to se if she really came from the Dunbar family it turned out she wasn’t. The child they thought was Dunbar wasn’t their’s. I published it on an online website (that doesn’t exist anymore but exist several versions of it.) i put it up there and ye it was kind of like an comission but with a book that absolutely no one asked about but it sold atleast 67 copies BUT the negative part about this is (i’m half-swed) recieved like 2KR wich is nothing but in the same time it was my first time writting and the more popular you get the more money you earn but it was never about the money in my case. I brought it up mostly because some people only write in hopes of getting famous and rich. Wich is of course is ok but a book needs time. Think about how you want to write it and after you send it in and they say ”change this and this” than do it and se the result That was all and you inspired me to start writing again and if you want i’ll let you know when i’m Done and wich website you can order it from :) if you want to and enjoy you’r day or night :)

Honestly, while it's normally easier to focus on negativity than positivity, I couldn't bring myself to care too much about the second sentence of this video title. I was completely focused on the first sentence; while I've always enjoyed writing, the idea of having both the skill and motivation to write a book at the age of 13 seems completely implausible. I may have a big fancy award to my name, but I'd take the fact that you pulled that off as a sign you're far ahead of me. So, I hope to catch up to you!

Nah, Girl. I’m a young writer too (13 years old). If you publish a book like that, I’ll read it. In fact, the other day I started writing a new book. It actually sounds interesting, even to me (I have high standards). The book’s about this girl (Fay’s her name) who lives on a huge planet named Good. Good is the biggest planet in a solar system of 62 planets that revolve around a sun (one that’s bigger than our’s) called Goliath. Basically, (oh, my gosh... this is going to take a long time to write) the prologue, happening on March 10th, is the birth (I mean like, right after her birth. Like when the doctor comes in and says the baby is healthy) of Fay. There are only 4 people mentioned in the prologue, and not a single name is used, so that, later in the book when new people come into the story, you have to find out who the people are. The 4 people are Fay (as a newborn), her mom (the whole time I just refer to her as “the mother”), Fay’s dad (I call him “the father”), and the doctor. I just call him “the doctor.” So, the doctor comes into the room with baby-Fay and hands her to the mother. While hold baby-Fay, the mother notices a red spot on the back of baby-Fay’s right hand. Then all of the sudden, it vanishes. *End of prologue* Chapter 1 basically tells you all about her world, Good. The countries, the people, and the legend of how Good came to be. The legend is that 3 fairies, Sun, Rain, and Snow, have tea and make a planet and then go to the High Fairy Leader, Life, and ask her to create people to live on their planet. Life agrees but says that her twin, Death, will do everything he can to destroy the planet and people, and if it happens Sun, Rain, and Snow won’t come crying, but take matters into their own hands. Blah, blah, blah, world’s there now. Ok, now the people. The only land on Good are two tiny land masses. The bigger one, Kind, is where the only (known) city is. The smaller one doesn’t have a name to the people of Kind. I mean, not an official name. The people from Kind, Kindians, just call it “Unknown”. They call it “Unknown,” because, to the people of Kind, that’s what it is -unknown. Anyway, every 10 years, on March 10th, people from Unknown, the Kindians call them Secretives, come to Kind, and scan every 14 year-old’s right hand. This day is called Selection Day. No one on Kind knows what they search for when they scan a hand, the Secretives just say either “next,” or “you are now a Selected.” Very few people become Selected. Those who do are forced to attend the Ceremony (which is basically a goodbye party). The Selected, one by one, stand up on a stage, their family comes up too, they say goodbye, and the Selected are loaded onto the ship that will take them to Unknown. Once a Selected enters that ship, they’re never seen again.... Anyway, the end of chapter 1 is Fay talking. She says, “Hi. I’m Fay. Tomorrow, March 10th, I turn 14... and find out if I’m a Selected. I have a feeling that things are going to go as well as I hope they will.” The second chapter is the beginning of the actual story. Fay is woken up by her sister Carissa, she goes to the bathroom to change before school (yes there’s school on Selection Day) and all of the sudden, her right hand starts to hurt. She looks down at it and sees a red spot. She realizes that this is what the Secretives look for when hey scam a hand, so when it’s her turn to have her hand scanned, she puts up her left hand. Anyway, the Secretive who would’ve scanned Fay’s hand, freezes, then asks another Secretive why he can see Fay’s mark. The story goes on (or will go on when I keep writing it) and Fay meets a boy who’s mark is also visible. They’re put in a cell, and taken to Unknown. When they get there, they learn the truth. Unknown has wanted to take over Kind for a long time, but hasn’t been able to do it. The reason is, is that a long time ago, a Secretive hears whispers in the woods. Basically the wind was talking. The wind said that the people of Unknown, wanting to conquer the world, would be stopped by the power of 14-year-olds on Kind. They would all have the mark of the fairy, Sun (though their marks would be invisible). But only two, a boy, and girl, would have visible marks. They would be the ones to stop Unknown. Anyway... I know that this is really, really long, and it probably sounds stupid, but the point I’m trying to get across is that even if no one reads your story. Even if “it sucks,” you should be proud, because you made it.

I’m thirteen and writing a fantasy novel, I hope to publish it some day. I spent all last year working on world building and character development(which I still need to work on so my main character doesn’t have the personality of a plastic cup) I’ve actually started writing this year and have written 10,000 words of it already! (It isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things but it’s more than I’ve ever written so I’m proud of myself)
