Thank you so much to anyone who watched even a second of this video! It genuinely means so much to me that you took time out of your day to listen to me nerd out about writing and FF7. This is easily my most ambitious project yet and I have no clue if anybody’s gonna like it, so your feedback is always appreciated! If this type of video is something you wanna see more of, please let me know any other FF7 characters you think I should write a movie for next! Thank you again and have a great day!!! ❤️‍🔥

Next character pick for me, would be Zack Fair. We know how he died, and what he did before that. But what about his childhood? His 'secret thoughts' about Aerith? How he feels about Cissnei? All that 'in between' etc? What did he think during those years being trapped in a tank? He's always so upbeat.. but we only know the outside. The side of him he shows. etc. I've always wondered about that. And sidenote: I do NOT think he'd "support" Cloud x Aerith. Ever. XDD Some people like to say he'd be fine with things like that and while he's a good guy (the best really), he does have feelings and ownership, too! Or so I'd like to think! °_°)/

This was super creative and fun, and it definitely improved upon some of the issues I had with Traces of Tifa myself. I like both Jessie's expanded role and how you made Rakesh even more repugnant (which made his takedown all the more satisfying). And of course you ended it at the perfect place. Tifa is still SO young when the original game starts, and I like that you were able to build on both her struggles and her triumphs in these very difficult years she endured. An obvious labor of love. We Tifa fans are so fortunate to have creators like you!! Thank you!!

Nice screenplay and honestly a highlight of my day to listen to it! Trace of Two Pasts was a good read and a much needed prequel to the main story. I agree it needed alittle tweaking. My favorite part was how you expanded on Tifa and Jessie’s friendship.

This was just incredible man. Such a unique idea for a video that you so clearly poured so much love and work into. Not only did you do a book review but also wrote this incredible feature length script for a film? Just insanely impressive man. Almost as impressive as how much you grow from video to video. Your editing, presentation, writing, it’s all just levelling up more and more every single time. The sky is the limit for you! Not the shinra plate, the actual blue sky!!! So proud for you you my friend ❤️❤️❤️

I just finished watching this while on my commute and I wanna say that this was absolutely great. As a general fan of FF7, I love Traces of Two Pasts and what it adds to Tifa and Aerith’s characters and backstories and that despite what it adds, you were still able to give it constructive criticism. I agreed with the points you made in that for Tifa’s section, Rakesh didn’t seem like a very threatening protagonist and that it should’ve taken the time to build Jessie and Tifa’s relationship. The only thing I would say I would’ve added to this wonderful work you made was a little line of dialogue from Tifa when she has the nightmare of the Nibelheim incident at her first night in that tiny place she’s staying it. This is just a personal gripe on my part but I think Tifa still holds her promise with Cloud in high regard so maybe she could’ve something along the lines of, “you promised you would be there for me” when she wakes up from said nightmare. Something akin to what she said in Crisis Core when Zack finds her after she’s struck down by Sephiroth. But other than that, this was fantastic. I loved every second of this video. Great work man 👍🏼.

Thank you for this really cool video. I loved it and i knew i would. I didn't want it to stop. Loved Traces of Two Pasts and you made me want to read it again. I think it's too sad that Tifa's backstory is just in a book, many people doesn't even know about this book and by extention about Tifa's backstory. So thank you for this wonderful share, it will open some people eyes i hope. Tifa is sooooo important in FF7 story. Well now i'm looking forward to your next video #Tifan 👏🏻

Dang, this is so cool. Admittedly I'm not too knowledgeable FF7 lore since I only played the OG and never had the chance with Remake/Rebirth so I'm a little lost in the "expanded" backstories (I didn't know there was a Tifa/Aerith novel!) BUT, something I always wanted more of was Avalanche's members. I remember not feeling too bad when they died since I wasn't that invested in them, but seeing how you fleshed out Tifa's friendship with Jessie was great, it was very beautiful and touching and it changed my perspective on that event. Fantastic video, I enjoyed the whole thing!

This is so cute! I would watch anything FF7 related tbh. Did you know Tifa was supposed to have her own chapter in Remake? It was set after Cloud falls into sector 5 with Aerith. It was supposed to be a chapter about Tifa finding out about Don Corneo looking for Avalanche, and how she gathered materials for Marle to help her make the purple dress to go to Corneos audition in. I would have loved that I actually thought Remake was a little short but they cut it.

Love this so much 🎉 I agree w/many of your ToTP takes but I think the planetology recruiting thing was intentional by Nojima bc of Tifa's growth arc that was planned for Gongaga... players supposed to see Tifa's ideas may not be as fully formed and mechanical as traditional planetology. ToTP sets up Tifa to breakthrough with her own insights (and rejected by CC planetologists) in Rebirth. Nojima foreshadowing. 😊

Watched the whole video in one go!! Thanks to the way you describe things, it was very easy to envision it in vivid detail. There were many moments where I thought "oh my god, I want to make a render of this moment!" - remarkable. I love the changes you made to Rakesh and his shitty personality, putting it more into the spotlight. And even more so, I loved the fun absurd 'sexual' innuendo moments that had you shocked when you read them in the script again, forgetting all about it beforehand. XDD Aka: grinding ones wee-wee to a pulp, or not sleeping in the honey bee in etc. Ha'ha. All in all, an absolutely amazing video. I really wish this would be a movie. In fact, I wish you'd be hired as the screen writer. And after this one, you'll make one for CloTi, right? Because Remake starts at a spot where Cloud is already familiar with the slums - kind of. But what happened when Tifa found him? When it faded to black? What happened between then, and the start of Remake? But in a modern take (since we do technically know it from OG, and seen it in ever crisis). Now THAT is something I'd love to know, too! Thank you so much for this video. ♥ I truly can not wait to see what you're doing next! ^o^/)

In the upcoming Part 3 of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, Tifa Lockhart's role as the main female protagonist is poised for significant expansion. Building upon the foundations laid in the previous installments, Tifa's character development is expected to reach new heights, exploring her intricate relationships, personal vendettas, and the profound impact of her past. The narrative could delve deeper into her connection with Aerith, highlighting the strength and complexity of their friendship beyond their shared fondness for Cloud. This relationship may serve as a pivotal element in the storyline, especially in the wake of Aerith's fate, which has been a subject of much speculation and theory. Tifa's vendetta against Sephiroth is also anticipated to take center stage, providing a cathartic exploration of her quest for justice. Her personal losses-her father, her village, and now her best friend-position her uniquely to confront Sephiroth, potentially culminating in a climactic battle that could be both emotionally charged and narratively satisfying. The developers have hinted at a more pronounced emphasis on Tifa's strength, suggesting that her combat abilities and strategic importance in battles against formidable foes like Jenova will be accentuated. The plausible connection between Tifa and Jenova may be explored through the lens of Tifa's psychological and emotional journey. As the group unravels the mysteries surrounding Jenova and the calamities she brings, Tifa's insights and experiences could become crucial to understanding Jenova's influence and devising a way to thwart her plans. The intricate web of Tifa's past encounters with Sephiroth, her survival from his attempts on her life, and her resolve to protect those she cares about could all intertwine with the overarching threat that Jenova poses. Moreover, the narrative might address the psychological toll on Tifa as she grapples with the weight of her responsibilities and the grief of her losses. Her role could be instrumental in helping Cloud come to terms with his own past and present, acting as a grounding force and a beacon of resilience. The exploration of Tifa's character in Part 3 is not just about her physical prowess but also her emotional strength, leadership qualities, and her unwavering commitment to her friends and the fight against Shinra and Sephiroth. As the trilogy approaches its conclusion, fans eagerly anticipate how Tifa's character will evolve, hoping for a portrayal that honors her legacy while providing fresh perspectives on her motivations, struggles, and triumphs. The potential for Tifa's expanded role in Part 3 offers a wealth of opportunities for storytelling, character development, and emotional depth, promising a fulfilling journey for both the character and the players. The connection to Jenova, while still shrouded in mystery, is an intriguing plot point that could further enhance the complexity of Tifa's character and her role in the climactic events to come.

Hey man, so I'm a fan of your previous work but I hope you readied yourself for this one potentially not going down that well. I totally get this was a personal project for you but a lot of people are gonna see this as 1hr+ of glorified fanfiction in audio form prefaced by mild jabs at what is arguably Nojima's best written work. I might be wrong, but if I'm not don't get discouraged and good luck with your future projects. P s. If nothing else I appreciate that you spotlighted Traces of Two Pasts, it gets overlooked but has done a lot for Tifa's character.
