I am not a tank nerd, but it is taken from a Japanese newsreal about the invasion of China. It might be a mistake tough if u are sure of about the tanks, as I said I am far from an expert! (however, I doubt its Chinese tanks - since there were none in the 30s. They got half a regiment of UK provided tanks, but they got destroyed right away). @@tatenokaienjoyer Soviet made BT-2 tanks given to China, look up the BT-2 Tank and you will see it’s immediate resemblance so Im certain they are in Chinese service because they were also given to communists in Spain during the civil war. Although the first clip looks more like the BT-5 with the 45mm gun. This tank also fought at Khain Gol in 1939 but in Soviet service so maybe it’s that footage, but you will also find out the Chinese received some BT tanks.

Don't know, I would guess its a Shinto cerimony in late 30s/early 40s not really connected to any specific clan but centralized. The state under Imperial Rule Assistance Association (1940-1945) made society conform to their/created 'clans/socities' unlike in the 30s when there were many orginizations both Nichiren Buddhist and Shinto Nationalist (League of Blood/Black Dragon Society etc etc) . Perhaps someone else knows more, but probably very hard to identify with only a fragment of video material

for me the biggest mistake Japan did was declare war on US and join the Axis.. they should have taken over the pacific first and build to invade USA.. the main reason is that even if Japan joined the axis during ww2 they Europeans would still be super tired of fighting the Nazis and would try to stop Japan. without USA joining the war in Europe would be longer and more exhausting for allied forces even if they defeat the Nazis trying to invade Japan would be a waste of Manpower, resources and time and would ultimately sign a peace treaty with Japan giving them all thier demands making them a world power with this they could research and advance their technology and pressure US to give them their pacific posseisons making them the ideal Empire

They never joined the Axis really. The attack on the US was forced upon them (not to be a lecturer since I see you are a very smart young man, but they were forced to do it). The US wanted an Casus Beli, and forced it trough being aggressive, putting emargos against Japan - they would have joined anyway. I strongly support the Nanshin-ron (Strike against US and allies) doctrine, but also see that in RETROSPECT it would have been much more wise to chose to strike against the USSR. If Japan would have hit the oil depots at pearl harbor, made better decisions at Midway, Yamamoto surviving and deploying a renewed Kido Butai Japan would have beat USA in a Kantai Kessen scenario. Since USA always have very low morale when losing any battle. Alas, it was not to be. But appriciate your alt-history take!
