The Intertwined Relationship of Space Sustainability and Security: How they are both needed to make space safe and predictable for all.
This Global Networking Forum will examine how security shapes the space environment, as well as keeps space safe and open for commercial and civil applications. This is in keeping with the mission statement of its sponsoring organization, the IAF Security Task Force: “To promote a secure, stable, and resilient space environment in order to ensure uninterrupted access to space and security of space operations.” Civil and commercial space experts will discuss the importance of space security for commercial actors in terms of creating a predictable, stable space environment that they can operate in; why space security is relevant for everyone's ability to continue to utilize space; and the connection between space sustainability and space security.
