I had a Peugeot 205 Rallye at the time,he tuned my Webber’s with much,finesse when we put k&N competition air filters on too.noisy but great fun to drive,my son loved the sound. His biggest task was tuning the Alfetta 6 engines,that had 6 carbs too,nearly a couple of hours to do sometimes for all servicing. Thanks Iain,looking forward to more next year🙏

has Iain ever done a sound demo thru the rubber hose pipe so we can all hear what it sounds like? I think a lot of us would be interested in that. Also wonder if the length and hole diameter are of any significance to the sonics. Wonder if it works on twin su's on a mgb which I don't have any more but would be interested to see it done on one. I know when I did have an mgb the mechanic used one of those air flow meters setting it up each time after I tried to make it go faster. uuuuhhhh yeah did I say go faster. Don't you just hate it when the old lady with the walker races you to the next stop sign and all you can think about is how friggin fast she moves with a walker.
@iain_tyrrell9 ай бұрын
The cam in the B series MGB engine has quite a lot of valve overlap, which makes it lumpy at idle to start with. They’re surprisingly tricky to tune because of that. Maybe the old lady was a bit more savvy than we think!🤔
