What an epic break, defrosting hands after that session.

I think I can say that the majority of people have no issues whatsoever with the action camera videos. As long as it is 4K😁

Hi Iain, I just wanted to thank you, you're a guy who motivated me to start recording my freesurfing sessions. I had to take a break from Bodyboarding due to my responsibilities, but watching your videos you motivated me to get back into the sport as a freesurfer. I had a Gopro Hero 7 with some problems, but I decided to use it to record whenever I could surf. Recently things got better for me and I got a GoPro Hero 12 and started recording my surf sessions and uploading them to KZbin. You probably don't remember me, but I met you when you came to Brazil for ITACOATIARA PRO and you were very attentive to me. I just want to tell you that you inspire me and i root for your success. Big Hug!

So happy to hear that! Thanks for the message and I’m stoked I could be the one to help you get back in the water and filming again! Keep bodyboarding and enjoy the ocean and everything that comes with it my friend 🙏🏼❤️

Love the POV bru! Think it really helps in identifying sections (especially air revo sections) to hit! Ps- for a cold wet wetsuit... Get yourself a cheap water bottle. Chuck it inside the suit on the way to beach, then pour the warm water into the suit. That way you have a warm wet wetsuit instead of a cold one.

Good call! I would rather have it cold and not get the crazy shock 🤣 honestly water wasn’t too bad. It’s he bloody air temps bru.

@iaincampbell_ The other thing is a backup suit... Have 2 5ml's revolving. Yeah, it is the air temp! That's the worst!

Happy to have videos no matter if is raw or another camera filming. Maybe tryingsome 360 camera or the action camera with a pole on the board? Something different from time to time. Much respect from Canary Islands!
@iaincampbell_20 күн бұрын
Appreciate you watching. DJI don’t have the 360 just yet so waiting on that. And the pole mount really limits moves… if I ride this spot again a pole might work pretty good 👌🏼

No booties bro? Make a HUGE difference in the cold temps. 2mm wetsuit socks are the go
@iaincampbell_20 күн бұрын
The water is not too cold yet. Just the outside temps were cold. Holding off on the booties 😅

The water temperature at Huntington Beach pier is 57 degrees . I wear a Buell 3/2 wetsuit and that works well for me but its the face that take a beating until about 5-10 duck dives or 20 minutes later it's no longer noticeable.

Very nice video Iain as usual, quick little question, wondering what size is your board you are using, do you always stick to one size and one style?
@iaincampbell_20 күн бұрын
Yes and yes. I’m using a 42 inch. I’m 182cm tall and weigh about 82kgs. Use the same board everywhere.
@dailymotion819 күн бұрын
@@iaincampbell_ Thanks much, I use a 42.5 and weigh about 155 pounds, I think I may be using a board that is little big, especially for duck diving heavy waves, I have hard time pushing it down at times, thanks Iain!!!

Howzit, I’m super new to bodyboarding, you suggested I keep my eyes open underwater, how can I do that? Is there anything you did to help you? Super curious
@iaincampbell_20 күн бұрын
Definitely if the water is clear enough it’s worth opening your eyes. But if it’s dirty and you can’t really see it makes it tough anyway. Not every time but if you’re in a tricky spot it’s worth opening them up!

How does this water temp compare to cape town in the pumping SE of summer?
@iaincampbell_20 күн бұрын
Water temps are similar but outside temps here are extreme. This day was 4 outside. In the cape it doesn’t get that bad.
