Playing Gief in mvc2 takes a person that’s built different, man. Like that’s a character that almost no one would gravitate to in a game like that. I love it when players go against the grain.

Mugai is a beast, this Gief is great to watch and learn, like Strago or evilmaxdark Gief. Also, mech gief is the only toon that can absorb the chun super (until i know, most broken inmunity one vs other supers) and still hit chun in the proces. Gief well playerd can be a nightmare for any team, that is OD. Shout out to Mugai, that men is really good and mad fun.

I love how Mugai specifically created his team around Zangief. The Silver Samurai and Jin assists forces the opponent to block a lot of the time, giving Zangief multiple opportunities to command grab his opponent. It's genius.

Cool performance of Mugai with Gief. It´s so fun to watch how he beat top players characters with him. Also Strago and Evilmaxdark are great players with Gief I watched similar sequence an strategies from them. That would be great a set a Gief Challenge with all of them.

When I was a kid I would play mvc2 on a dreamcast with my neighbor. He would do that silver samurai ice tech, I thought it was mad busted. As I got older I figured this strategy wasn’t that good since I never saw anyone else use it. my friend was always good at finding strategies, I guess that’s why he’s a professional poker player now xD

What we learned from Mugai Baso when playing MVC2: - The MVC1 tactic on Zangief(multiple Aerial Russian Slam use) works well in MVC2 but fast paced - Mecha Zangief can still call assist even when being hit - Silver Samurai can use Ice Armor 3 times just to get Hyper Armor and his Koori no Ken just gotten powerful it even knocks out fighters on assist. - 12:40 - Cyclops got wrecked by Jin's Blodia Punch!!! Unblockable by the last frame. - 16:35 - Jin can cancel special moves into Blodia Vulcan! Good for baiting traps.

Yo Justin, Blackheart assist is a FOLLOW AND HIT ANY HEIGHT on the opponent ASSIST ATTACK. VS stuck above the screen opponents or even completely off-screen opponents, Blackheart hits the opponent. Via end boss of mvc2 last boss off screen attack or positioning.

We can see that antiair move, that is an innovation of this franchise, really helped him. It makes him similar to Hugo with that antiair grab. That makes it look like it was a good idea that he never gained a regular antiair move like that in mainline SF, that isnt a super (SFA and SF6).

This reminds me of a fun team I made with Felicia Morrigan and strange in mvc3. The mixups with Felicia on point and kitty helper, with eye of agamotto assist, and having Felicias command grab? Was low tier at the end of the day but fucked ALOT of people up, lol. Block eye, and either kittyhelper overhead or cat scratch grab was gonna get you. Plus a solid strange and Morrigan. Morrigan on bar assist with Felicia meter charge meant so much bar that kitty helper was almost ALWAYS out. Games are fun when you don't sweat/duplicate top tier 24/7. This gief is AWESOME. Lmao

he called an assist, while being hit already inside a birthday party.... so all 3 of his characters were on screen. Thing with the grab assist is, if you are in block stun you cant block a thro assist. That repulsor blast can OTG and then you can use lightning off Silver Samurai, Omega Reds X or the hail storm by Storm.

Zangief is one of my favorite guys to use and he has an edge on the top tiers since they’re not used to his antics (love playing against sentinel). Love from my Russian mafia team: Zangief (ground assist on iron gief), Colossus, and Omega Red.
