I have never once landed a close standing slash, yet it's how the best of May's combos start... How do people do it? I always have to do short combos with 2K 2D dolphin or red RC in the corner to actually get any wall bounces...

I just picked up strive (first traditional fighting game - I've been playing melee competitively for 10+ years). Anyone knows if it it is ok to mash the last kick on May's charged dust sequence? I usually go for 5[D]8 > j.H > j.D > j.K > j.H > j.D > j.K > j.K (I mash on this one) unless I'm trying to burst bait.

How do you find frame data in Strive!?

I would suggest dustloop.com which is a wiki for a lot of the anime fighting games. There is frame data for each character in the Strive section, plus a little bit of other information, like combos, playstyle and strategy. I like using it to get some basic info on characters before moving to other resources for more detailed information.
